RULES:This meet is will be swum in accordance with USA Swimming. Michigan Swimming rules, safety, and warm up procedures will govern the meet as if fully set forth in these meet rules.

FACILITIES:Clarkston is a 25-yard, 8-lane pool; 8 lanes are used for competition. A separate 4-lane pool will be available for supervised warm-up and warm down. Depth at start is 7 feet and 9-13 feet at turn. Permanent starting blocks and non-turbulent lane markers will be used. Colorado timing with an 8-lane display will be used. There is ample balcony seating for spectators. Lockers are available (provide your own lock). Public phones will be available.

ELIGIBILITY:All swimmers must be currently registered with Michigan Swimming, be a dues paying member of the club he/she represents, and has swum in at least one dual meet or participated in a Michigan Swim meet hosted by a league member in order to score points. Swimmers that did not participate in a MCSL league dual meet or MCSL team hosted competition may still compete, but must be designated as exhibition. The swimmer’s age on March 26, 2011will determine his/her eligibilityfor a particular age group.

Any team having a swimmer swimming in the league championship that swam unattached at a meet, must notify Erica Zuercher prior to the Entry Deadline.

INDIVIDUALEach swimmer may enter 3 individual events and 2 relays. Each team may have 4 entries in an

ENTRY LIMITS:individual event* and 4 entries in a relay event. *(There may be unlimited team entries per event for 25 and 50 yard events only; however, only 4 entries per event per team may score.)

ENTRY FEES: $4.00 PER INDIVIDURAL EVENT AND $10.00 PER RELAY.

DEADLINES:All entries are due to the Meet Director for the ClarkstonSea Wolves by midnight, Monday, March 21, 2011. All checks are due to Erica Zuercher, MCSL President on Saturday, March 26th. Late payment fee is $50.00.

ENTRY:Email entries in Hy-Tek format to Robert Ferer: . Each club must bring a hard copy of the Top Times Eligibility Report to MCSL Secretary, Laurie Corey, the day of the meet (March 26th, 2011). Each club will be notified if any swimmer is not eligible to swim for points.

SUBSTITUTIONS:If a swimmer is absent, the coach may substitute another swimmer that is entered in the meet as long as that swimmer does not exceed the 4-entry limit. Any changes must be submitted by 9:15AM.

MARSHALLING:This meet will be NOT be marshaled. Swimmers and their coaches will be responsible for getting to their correct heats and lanes.

SEEDING:This meet will be seeded. All events will be swum as timed finals.

SCORING:A & B relays from one team may score. Maximum of four scoring individuals per team per event. Scoring will be 1-16 for individual events and 1-6 for relays. Scoring is: Individual 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1; Relays 40-34-32-30-28-26-24-22-18-14-12-10. Team scores will be kept.

“Age Group Winner” banners will be awarded to the team with the high points for each age group.

RESULTS:Complete meet results will be emailed to each club or placed onto your flash drive before you leave the pool.

ADMISSION:Admission $3.00 (12 and under with adult free.) Program will be $2.00 each.

CONCESSIONS:Food and beverages will be available at the concession stand. No food or beverages will be allowed on the pool deck, in the spectator area or locker rooms.

LOST AND Articles may be turned in/picked up at the designated area in the pool lobby. Articles not picked up by the end

FOUND: of the meet will be retained by the Meet Director or a representative for at least 14 days (any longer period shall be in the sole discretion of the Meet Director).

SWIMMING

SAFETY:

Michigan Swimming warm up rules will be followed. To protect all swimmers during warm-ups, swimmers will be required to enter the pool feet first at all times except when sprint lanes have been designated. No jumping or diving. The same rules will apply with respect to the warm-down pool and diving well. Penalties for violating these rules will be in the sole discretion of the meet referee which may include ejection from the meet.

DECK PERSONNEL:Only swimmers, registered coaches and meet officials and meet workers with name tags displayed are allowed on the deck. NO NON-MEET WORKER PARENTS ARE ALLOWED ON DECK. Each club should bring their own name tags to identify their meet workers.

SWIMMERS withAll swimmers are encouraged to participate. If any of your swimmers have special needs or requests please

DISABILITIES:indicate them on the entry form and with the Clerk of Course and/or the Referee during warm-ups.

GERNERAL INFO:Any errors or omissions in the program will be documented and signed by the meet official and available for review at the Clerk of Course for Coaches review.

FIRST AID:Supplies will be kept in the Coaches Office/Computer Room on deck, and available for use as needed.

FACILITY ITEMS:(A) No smoking is allowed in the building or on the grounds ofClarkstonHigh School.
(B) Pursuant to applicable Michigan law, no glass will be allowed on the deck of the pool or in the locker rooms.
(C) No bare feet allowed outside of the pool area. Swimmers need to have shoes to go into the hallway to awards or concessions.
(D) CLARKSTONHIGH SCHOOL IS A PEANUT-FREE ENVIRONMENT.

Each club MUST provide two timers per lane assignment:

Lanes 1 & 2 – GLT; Lane 3 – Romeo; Lanes 4 & 5 – USSC; Lane 6– BWSC;
