Transport is how we commute from one destination to another. ‘Sustainable transport’ refers to environmentally friendly methods of commuting, such as public transport, walking or cycling. At Macquarie, however, we think all transport should and can be sustainable!

BENEFITs OF SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL

  • With approximately 35,000 people travelling to Macquarie, choosing a more sustainable option can lead to a positive impact on our overall gas emissions
  • More sustainable options can lead to healthier lifestyles, and greater social interactions
  • A reduction in single-occupant vehicle commutes will help Macquarie meet its stated transport goals, alleviate congestion on our local roads, and decrease demand for on-site campus parking.
