Lynden Old-timers Softball Team

Lynden, ON

Dear Charlie Landoni:

The Lynden Old-timers Softball team has contributed to Lynden’s Canada Day celebration for many years. We’ve especially appreciated the willingness of your organization to handle the evening parking duties, certainly one of the more thankless jobs on that day!

We are seeking to foster closer ties with other community groups within Lynden to make Lynden’s Canada Day as good as it can possibly be. The Canada Day committee is asking these other groups to come along side us and adopt a more formal role in the planning and execution of our unique celebration of Canada’s birthday. We certainly encourage participation in the parade and attendance at the ceremonies and festivities at the park, but we’re now requesting that an Old-timers Softball team member join our committee and be able to make decisions and act on behalf of your group. Your unique perspective and long-standing involvement in Lynden, together with our mutual goals for the betterment of our community, will certainly result in furthering the good work that both our organizations are endeavouring to perform. Over the years, as new volunteers have joined our committee, we have profited from their enthusiasm and fresh ideas and your representation will be no exception.

We meet on the second Monday night of the month at 7:30 PM in the Lions Den – next meeting is Mar 14th. The meetings are typically over by 8:30 to 9:00. We’d love for you to join us and make our next celebration the best one yet for the residents of Lynden and its environs.

If I can answer any questions, please call me at 519-647-2472, 905-512-3827 or email me at . Looking forward to working more closely with the Lynden Old-timers Softball team.

Best regards,
