Lyman Orchards Monday Golf League Newsletter July 25th
Weather: Hot and Humid! Stormy! Again…
For the second week in a row we worked around a rain delay. Thank you for your patience and thank you for stepping up the pace to allow everyone to finish!
Participation: Despite the storm warnings, all 96 golfers made it to the course. The rain delay forced two golfers from either starting or completing their rounds due to commitments. These scores were no carded!
Again I remind everyone to verify with their teammates that your team will be in attendance as we approach the final weeks and points are important to many teams. We want those teams that make the playoffs to have earned those points….
XXX Please Advise – If you need a sub for August 1st…
Standings: We have 4 more weeks of points. Aug 1st, 8th and 15th points will determine which four teams make it to the playoffs. All teams play Aug 22nd for final point standings.
Early Division – Team #6 has a 10.5 point lead and appears to be running away from the field.
Mid Division - Team # 19 (44) has a 1.5 point lead over team 30 (42.5)
Late Division - Team #40 (45.5) also has a 1.5 point lead over team #43 (44)
Wild Card – This is the team with the next highest point total from all three divisions.
Currently team #43 leads the way with 44 points. There are 16 teams within ten points of the wild card position. Anything can happen so please remain competitive to the end!
Birdies: The league recorded 18 Birdies this week!

None – I decided to cancel the CTTP on Monday because 40% of the league was routed to a back nine and I felt it was unfair. Next week we will have 4 cttp set up for the league!

Cost:$75 - per person-Members & Guests
Cost includes golf, cart, range balls and many prizes.
Also includes a Pasta Buffet at the conclusion of your round.
Monday & Thursday League Golfers & Guests
Event: 4 Person Team Event This Tournament is a very unique 3 in 1 challenge. Every 3 holes each player in the foursome will team up with a different partner for a 2 person scramble. Each player will play a total of 6 holes with each of the other players. All scores on each hole will be combined for a team 18 hole total.
Prizes awarded for 18, 9 & 6 hole scores. Many ways to win!
