LYA Board Meeting

  1. Call to Order at 7:07 by Jill C., seconded by John V.
  2. Roll Call- John V., Lynn B., Rosanne K., Luis D., Jill C.
  3. Reading and Approval of May minutes- John V., seconded by Rosanne K.
  4. Open Forum for Guests- Bill Bupp, Chris and Natalie Mattes

Board discussed open positions and committees that they are looking to have filled with guests

Deposits- discretionary

Disbursements- tournaments, ref fees, LYA dinner

Registration extended to Friday, June 5th

Board to consider imposing late fee, board discussed using late fees to fund scholarships or going directly to teams

Late fee would be imposed in Spring 2016

Unpaid players should not be rostered and their cards will be pulled

Pay later option to be removed

Email and phone # fields should be mandatory

$173.56 from the Buffalo Wild Wings fundraiser

Fall fundraisers- Menchies (September), BWW and possibly Rita’s

Fall Kickoff- 9/11, would like to honor local fire or police officers

Lynn to start looking into corporate sponsors for 10/16 golf outing

  1. Coach/Player Development

F license is secured for July 17/18

August 3-7 Team camps

August 10-14 Player development camp

  1. Fields/Equipment

Still need to meet with township, Breeds, LAX and football about fields

  1. Rec Soccer

Online registrations open June 2

Fee is $100 which includes 8 weekends of play, uniform and trophy

20% early registration discount if completed by June 30

8-week Instructional Program for 3-5 Yr olds

Rec Soccer Program for kids entering 1st to 6th grades (under 13)

Expect about 20 teams and 200 kids

End of season party

Rec season is 9/12-10/31, if there are weather delays can go to 11/7

Boys Club-

Fall 2015 News-

Registration opens June 1st and closes July 8th

Registrations not fully completed by July 14th will be imposed a $220 fine

New registration system is Bonzi

Games will start at 12 (instead of 12:30)

Any team not represented at mandatory coaches meeting will be imposed a $200 fine

Fall season opens September 13

Season end November 22

Any team dropping out after July 14, club will be imposed a $500 fine

Registration Fees-

Div 5 (U8-U10) $37/team

Div 4 (U11-U12) $45/team

Div 3 (U13-U14) $60/team

Div 2 (U15-U16) $70/team

Div 1 (U17-U18) $80/team

Girls Club-

Spring News-

Spring 2015 season end June 6/7

SJGSL happy that there were few yellow/red cards this season

Team conference winners responsible for picking up their trophies from Third Base Sports

SJGSL requesting no videos posted unless permission granted from both teams parents

Fall 2015 news-

U12 will be playing 8v8 Fall 2015

Girls’ games will start at 11am

Registration open June 1st and closes July 5th

Ratings Meeting at Pennsauken Middle School are on Monday, July 20th

Mandatory Coaches Meeting is on Monday, August 31st @ Pennsauken Middle School

Opening Weekend is September 12th and 13th

Last Weekend is November 20th and 21st

There will be no TBRs unless you are playing in the State Cup

U11 & U12 must not have more than 14 players rostered to their team

Registration Fees-

U8 to U10 - $300

U11 & U12 - $325

U13 & Up - $350

SJGSL is staying with usingyourhead.com will look into other registration systems next year

Keeper Training-

5 weeks at $350, 3 teams have expressed interest so far

Motion to approve by John V., seconded by Rosanne K.

Uniform shortage-

Shortage of striker uniforms, there is a custom that’s very close to striker design, teams may need to order custom if certain sizes/colors not available, Board to subsidize price difference for teams

Remind coaches to have player #’s picked for jerseys

Website-

Want to look into new website, possibly Blue Sombrero, fall time frame

Field Lining-

John V., to look into someone to professionally line fields including initial setup

LYA 8th grade scholarships-

LMS is awarding Robert Morton scholarships to Peyton Cole and Zachary Fifield, checks to be cut to go with plaques which will be awarded at graduation

Boys Club Rep-

The board has asked Bill Bupp, head coach of the U13 Rampage, to be the new boys’ club rep. Bill accepted.
