Lutron Lighting Presentation Comments

Barbara

-Rays of light confusing when done in AutoCAD

-Fixtures should be brighter if used

-Drawings don’t tell playfulness of day-care

-doesn’t indicate that you transformed it

-Step back and rethink drawings graphically

-Video conference should be rethought

-Lobby confusing ; model didn’t help understand space

-Didn’t explore sculptural shapes

-just downlights used, not much for architectural detail

-develop something owner would like

-Modernize spaces with fixtures

-Parking lot ; follow IES criteria for mounting and spacing, character of building, adjacencies

Lee

-Kurtversen – Lighting for videoconferencing

-wash walls where only downlights are used

-Lighting parking lot ; light off of parapet instead of too many post lights

-White instead of yellow or brown lines

-Nice to explore what kids do while at day-care

-lighting while taking naps, warmer lighting, size of the children

-reinforce scale in the space ; warmth ; intimacy

-like Disney scale is 4/5 to relate to kids

-Lobby ; play with space, consider differing activity (billiards) and what is lighting

-If using CAD to distribute light, understand that there is a gradient to the distribution – otherwise takes away from light location.
