AFP GREATER TORONTO CHAPTER PHILANTHROPY AWARDS
OUTSTANDING FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONAL
Purpose
The AFP Greater Toronto Chapter has established this award to be presented in recognition of an AFP Greater Toronto Chapter member’s outstanding individual fundraising achievements. The individual will be practicing his/her profession directly for a nonprofit organization or as a consultant.
Nomination Criteria
An individual member of AFP Greater Toronto Chapter may forward the name of an AFP member or members for consideration for this prestigious award and/or the AFP Awards Selection Committee will engage in a highly confidential process to elicit suggestions from members of the Chapter and will then invite a limited number of candidates to consider standing for nomination.
Eligibility Criteria
List the nominee’s achievements, including:
1. Description of career achievements, length and tenure of fundraising experience and results. (0-25 points)
2. Evidence of leadership that is effective, creative and stimulating.(0-20 points)
3. Membership in AFP and evidence that the individual practices and promotes the AFP Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice for fundraising professionals. (0-20 points)
4. Evidence of commitment to fundraising and philanthropy through voluntary service and financial support of charitable organizations. (0-20 points)
5. Description of individual’s commitment to continuing professional development, including certification (CFRE/ACFRE), conference participation, publication and professional education. (0-15 points)
The recipient must have at least 15 years of combined professional fundraising or relevant business experience.
Current AFP Greater Toronto Chapter Board Members, members of the Awards Selection Committee and self-nominations are not eligible for this award.

Forward to the attention of the AFP Awards Selection Committee Chair the name of the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter member(s), who in your opinion should be considered to stand for nomination.
