To those areas indicated on the drawings, concrete surfaces shall be sealed with Lustreseal Waterbased Sealer
Lustreseal Waterbased sealer is a blend of cross linking polymers, making a milky white aqueous emulsion. The very low VOC makes Lustreseal Waterbased Acrylic Sealer suitable for confined spaces and indoor areas.

General
All surfaces shall be prepared and sealed strictly in accordance with the current manufacturer technical data sheet.
All work shall be carried out by an experienced contractor, who is well trained in the application of the specific, documented sealer.
1.12
Surface Preparation
The concrete surfaces should be clean, sound and free of concrete curing compounds, form
release agents, paints, coatings and all other surface contaminations, such as algae, mildew,
mould, oil or grease.
Where necessary concrete surfaces shall be acid etching or pressure cleaned at 3000 psi to provide a key for improved adhesion.

Application
Lustreseal Waterbased sealer can be applied by lamb’s wool roller or airless sprayer.
Sealer is to be applied, strictly in accordance with the manufacturer current Technical Data
Sheet.

Slip Resistance
To obtain a higher slip resistance factor, use a suitable slip additive in the final coat.
Refer to the manufacturer Technical Data Sheet for the appropriate slip additive.
1.15
Curing
After sealing it is recommended the sealed surface be protected from:
· Foot traffic for a minimum of 48 hours
· Vehicle Traffic for a minimum of 72 hours

pH: 8.5-9.5
Specific Gravity: 1.02
Water Resistance (dry film) Very Good
Dry Film Clarity: Excellent
Dry Time (Tack free) @25ºC and 50% R.H 1 hour per coat
UV Resistance: Excellent
VOC content: 16.0 gr/ Litre
