ATTENTION ALL MOTORCYCLE RIDERS!!!! Come join us for a ride, Sunday June 6th at 2 p.m. at New Leaf United Methodist Church. Enjoy a time of fun, faith, and fellowship. We intend for this to be an ongoing ministry and future rides will be planned, weather permitting. All bikers are welcome! Questions, see Barry Holub or call him at 224-0794.
We are HONORING OUR GRADUATES during our 11 a.m. worship on June 6th. A reception will be held immediately following the worship service to allow time for all of us to congratulate and give our words of wisdom to the graduates. Donations of cookies/finger foods for the reception are requested. Please see Glenda Lowe if you would like to help. We have a display board in the hallway off of the narthex honoring our graduates. If you would like your graduate to be included, please bring their information to the office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. week days.
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY! One of our own, Laura (Kennedy) Jaissle,will be fully ordainedas a pastor in the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. The ceremony will take place at Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside, Ohio at this year's Annual Conference on Tuesday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m. Following the ceremony, an open-house gathering will be held in Laura's honor at 538 Cherry Ave (Lakeside), hosted byher husbandand Laura's parents, Mike and Sally Kennedy. All are invited to both the ceremony and gathering afterward. Let's helpcelebrate this momentous occasion in Laura's ministry-- and New Leaf's legacy! Folks,this is officially the first pastor our new church is sending out into the harvest! Pastor Scottwould liketo make arrangements for a van/bus toprovide transportation to this momentous event. Please call the church officeby June 1st between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. if youare able to attend.

PARENTS: We provide a nursery staffed by a Certified Child Care Attendant during our worship services for the care of your youngsters. The rooms are located down the hall from the Worship Center just through the double doors.
PLEASE DON’T FORGET the L.E.A.F. Project! This is our major focus in missions this summer! Sign-ups to volunteer are located at the bulletin board in front of the office. Lots of hands are needed to carry out this wonderful mission project as we help with the repairs and upkeep of many homes in our area. The projects will take place July 17th & 19-24th.
CALLING ALL SINGERS! If you would like to join the choir just for the summer, we will be having one rehearsal a month to learn two anthems for that month. We will then sing on two Sundays of that same month and it will be a shorter time commitment than through the year. We would love to have you join us!—The SCHEDULE follows:
June: Rehearsal June 9th at 7:00 p.m.-sing on June 13th & 20th.
July: Rehearsal June 30th at 7:00 p.m.-sing on July 4th & 11th.
Aug: Rehearsal Aug.04th at 7:00 p.m.-sing on Aug. 8th & 15th
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OUR NEW LEAF STUDENTS: High School graduates and college students from New Leaf United Methodist Church are encouraged to apply for our educational scholarship as soon as possible. Please pick up your applications from the office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday –Friday.
NEW LEAF SOFTBALL TEAM: Our softball games are every Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. for about 3 months at the Malek Park on Parrish Road. The schedule for the games is posted in the hallway on our bulletin boards. If you have questions please call Terri Dixon at 599-8786 or Joel Dixon at 812-3953.
CARD MINISTRY Susan Quates is still sending out cards of encouragement for the remainder of the year. If you know of someone that needs a card, please provide an address and either call Susan at 593-4502 or leave the request with the church office.
Acolyte Training: Pastor Scott will be holding acolyte training on Saturday, June 26th from 10-10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Parents are strongly encouraged to stay for this training so that we can use families to acolyte. Acolytes will be used in the Traditional (11 a.m.) service.
