Lou Community in Diaspora has conducted the phone conference meeting on
Jan 15, 2012 based on the current crisis in the State of Junglei
The minutes of meeting was prepared by:

The meeting was opened by the words of prayer by Rev. James GoanarChol. Thereafter the Chairman of Lou community in the U.S.A Mr. Simon Deng Kei was given the introduction of the meeting by saying that, today I am really very happy to hear all voices of gaatbochar (Denaigeeka), the reason of our coming to this conference is because we always hear the massive killing in our home, which is LouNuer’s territories attacked by our neighbor murle tribe. I’m not going longer, what I want you to bear in mind is that, before I handover the meeting to the people who will lead us,I can highlight some few rules that needs to be respected by all of us. One, we don’t needto interrupt any person who give speech. Second to that, we don’t need to allow unwanted languages or bad behaviors. Third, you are not going to be allowing twice, and also we have to be realistic on the points.
Lastly, the meeting will be chair by our two pastorsnamely Rev. Jacob TutLiechand Rev. James Duol Kwek.
Chairman Rev. Jacob has given the Agenda of the conference as follow:
a)Current crisis in Junglei, especially war between Lou-Nuer and Murle
b)What is our position in that crisis?
c) Do we need to help our people or we are not going to involve in that crisis?
d)And others business

Here are our resolutions:
- We have agreed that, there would be immediate contribution for our people who are in the Hospitals.
- We have agreed that we will control our media.
- We have agreed that there will be peace initiative between Lou and Murle and that peace will be care out by our Pastors and other selected committee’s pastors as well.
- We have agreed that we will have a communication team between Diaspora and back home.
- We have agreed that our people will be in peace with our others when they go to water point (touch) of our next neighbors.
- And we have agreed toselect 15, committee that will do our communications, contributions and control our media as well.
- We have agreed that our peace committee will not be invited by any group of people who are claiming to be a peacemakerwhile they are not from Lou. But we will invite peacemaker people to join our team.
- We have agreed that Lou community would not be disarmed first until we have a confident that the government has disarmed all our enemies.
- We have agreed that all Lou Nuer in Diaspora would work together as one body regardless of our gender, groups or whatsoever case may be, with impact of mediate crisis that facing our people.
- We have also agreed that, we will writ the petition letter to the government of Juba.
- We have agreed that, we will extend our contributions to all our nuer communities and others peace lover in order to support us in this critical time.

Their function would be rely on our message to the Young men and bring us also what our youth want from us.

The conference’s turnout was very high, and the attended were about 100 people but the (82) names were recorded.

The lounuer community in Diaspora is very thankful to all nuer communities who had contributed thought, ideas and the monies during the tough time, when more (700) were killed in Uror.
