#9. Authorize various personnel actions as indicated on the summary sheet for employees within the jurisdiction of the Lorain County Board of Commissioners (at the conclusion of today’s Board meeting, the Commissioners may recess into an Executive Session to discuss: personnel/new hires)

#10. Approve & waive reading of the same County Commissioners meeting minutes of July 26, 27 & August 3, 2011

#11. Authorize payment in amount of $1,000 to Dovin Funeral Home, Lorain for Indigent Veteran Ronald J. Greenfield, Elyria in accordance with ORC 5091

Community Development Department:

#12. Amend Res#00-304, adopted April 12, 2000 providing Equal Housing Opportunity within Lorain County, Ohio to include Military status as a protected class and omit Section 5, part (g) and Section 6

#13. Approve the semi-annual revolving loan fund report for period January 1, 2011 – June 30, 2011 as submitted by department

Engineer:

#14. Issuance and sale of notes in an aggregate principal amount of $300,000 in anticipation of the issuance of bonds to pay costs of constructing a salt storage facility, together with all necessary appurtenances

Sheriff:

#15. Approve & enter into an agreement with Sheffield Township for additional police protection at a rate of $26.66/hour and $.050 cents per mile effective August 15, 2011 – January 15, 2012 with a 30 day cancellation clause

#16. Approve & enter a police services agreement with Village of LaGrange and Kipton they will pay Sheriff an amount not to exceed $30/prisoner that has a DNA specimen collected in accordance with ORC 2901.07 (c), effective July 1, 2011 – July 1, 2012 and have an automatic annual renewal under SB77. This relates to ORC 2901.07 (b)(1), anyone 18 years or older who is arrested for a felony effective July 1, 2011 and thereafter has to get a DNA specimen collected by law enforcement agency arresting the person during the intake process at the jail

#17. Approve & enter into an inmate education services agreement with Lorain County Joint Vocational School Adult Career Center. JVS will provide adult instructor 2 times/week for 3 hours/day with a maximum participant level of 12. Reimbursement will be $25/hour not to exceed 6 hours/week, effective retroactive to June 1, 2011 – June 1, 2012 with a 30 day cancellation clause.
