Arizona Milk Producers Scholarship Contest- Arizona Dairy Farmers are giving students the chance to win a $12,000, $10,000 or $8,000 scholarship by simply uploading their milk mustache photo. Scholarships may be used at any Arizona university, college or community college. The contest begins August 14th and runs through November 21st.
September:
Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program- Seeks nominations from counselors and community leaders, who witness first-hand students' journeys to make college happen? Last year, employees of Sallie Mae devoted time fundraising for the scholarship because they wanted to help make college happen for students across the country. They gave away four $25,000 scholarships to some incredible students. The nomination window is currently open until September 7.

Wendy’s High School Heisman- Recognizes high school SENIORS who succeed in the classroom, on the field and in their communities. Applicants have the opportunity to represent their school as a Wendy’s High School Heisman student and compete to be among the 10 National Finalists honored. Win up to $5,000 for your school. Hispanic Heritage Foundation-High school students may receive up to $3000 in educational grants and be celebrated as a Latino leader in your community. AES Engineering Scholarship This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility. The belief that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason this scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. Award amount: $500

Baird Scholarship-The Baird Foundation offers four-year scholarships to exceptional students graduating from Arizona high schools every year.This small and elite group of students will join the community of Baird Scholars at the University of Arizona and the Honors College.This prestigious award is specific to the Honors College and the UA. In addition to the Baird Foundation financial award of $12,500 per year, the University of Arizona will provide a full-tuition scholarship including mandatory student fees and the Honors College fee, currently valued at approximately $12,300/yr. Eligible nominees must meet all of the following minimum requirements:
- Be admitted to the University of Arizona for Fall 2018
- Be Arizona residents who have attended an Arizona high school for at least two years preceding admission to the University of Arizona
- Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Have a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.75 or higher

2017 Horatio Alger Scholarship Application-Seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education and a desire to contribute to society. Award amount: up to $22,000.

Flinn Foundation Scholar -Flinn Scholarships are provided to 20 of Arizona’s highest-achieving students annually for undergraduate study at Arizona’s four-year public universities. Flinn scholars receive nearly all tuition, mandatory fees, room, board, books and supplies for four years at ASU, NAU, or U of A.
Qualifications:
- Participate and demonstrate leadership in a variety of extracurricular activities;
- Attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average (unweighted);
- Rank in the top 5 percent of their graduating class (if the school reports class rank);
- Score a minimum 29* on the ACT (composite score), or 1360* on the new SAT I (ERW+M). We do not consider the writing section of the ACT or the optional essay section of the SAT.

Ironwood Ridge Community Appreciation Scholarship
This scholarship is available to all students, freshman through seniors. This essay competition scholarship is sponsored by Alicia Tatum, a graduated IRHS student. The scholarship is valued at $6,000 per year for each year the student is in college. That is a value of $24,000 or more. This award, which comes directly from the endowment funds of the college the winner would select to attend, is based on talents, fields of interest and career goals, not income or assets so this is all about you and your personal dreams. The winner will be selected based on the essay written with greatest weight given to the essay content reinforcing the IRHS vision where students accept responsibility for their unique growth, where consistently rigorous and relevant instruction fosters each student’s unique potential, and where positiverelationships promote individual growth and achievement.

Coca-Cola Scholarship
The application includes four short essay questions about students’ future dreams, academic achievements, contributions to their community and what they plan to do with their college education.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
NASSP would like to recognize middle level and high school students who have distinguished themselves through community service. Students must complete online application and supply a copy to their counselor.

AzSCA Student Scholarship
- Must be a high school senior attending a public or private secondary school in the state of Arizona.
- Must be a permanent resident of the state of Arizona.
- Must plan to attend a post-secondary institution during the 2018-2019 school year.

Elks National Scholarship Program
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2018 competition.
- Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
- Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
- Male and female students compete separately.

Essay Scholarship Opportunity
This year the TUSD Interscholastic Office will be giving (7) $600.00 scholarships to senior students who participate in an essay competition. Distinguished Young Women Scholarship (FOR JUNIOR GIRLS)
For the past ten years, DYW of Arizona has functioned as an “at-large” program, meaning that any girl with a 3.5 un-weighted GPA and an on-stage talent was welcome to participate in the six week program. But the program has changed. Junior girls will participate in a ONE day program with several workshops and then compete in a 10 minute interview, pre-learned fitness routine, 90 second talent and a short public speaking segment. In March, after all participant scores have been tallied, and invitation to attend the State program will be offered to the top scoring girls. DYW of Arizona has traditionally offered $20,000 in scholarship winnings annually and more than half of the participants take home scholarship money.

ACT Student Champion Award
The ACT Student Champion Award recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place. ACT Student Champions receive a $500 non-renewable scholarship, certificate, plaque and state-level recognition. Criteria:
- A student who has overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions
- Students must have a composite ACT score of a 22 in a single test date of a 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
- Preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first-generation college students.

Alisa’s Angels Foundation
The Alisa’s Angels Foundation will award $5,000 scholarships to Arizona graduating seniors to help youth who are helping others. Alisa established a legacy of helping and caring for people because she believed “that is what we were put on earth to do.” The scholarships are awarded to youth who demonstrate the same spirit through service to others. U.S. Presidential Scholars Program
Recognizes high school seniors who have demonstrated scholarship, leadership, artistic excellence and selfless service to others. Students have the opportunity to become U.S. Presidential Scholars based on three areas of accomplishment: broad academic achievement, the performing arts or creative writing and the ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields. Friends of the Oro Valley Public Library
The Friends in partnership with the Oro Valley Community Foundation are pleased to present a scholarship program for graduating high school seniors. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior in the Oro Valley Public Library service area who plan on attending an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the state of Arizona. Scholarships have increased to $3,000. Award criteria includes a submittal of official grades/class standing, documented participation in community volunteer activities, letters of recommendation, and an interview with the three-member scholarship selection committee. The Valley Foundation
Applicants must be a United States Citizen and a graduating high school student. High School Applicants whose grade point average places them in the top 5% of their class will NOT be considered. A typical scholarship is $1,500-$2,000 for a community college and $3,000-$4,000 for a University.
