Halt for Health stand down Water Wellbeing Week
Managers’ guidance
Overview of the stand down
During the week commencing 19 October we’re holding a halt for health stand down. This involves everyone across the business, taking time away from their usual activities (at least 30 minutes) to discuss important health and safety topics.
Guidance on running the session with your team
It is really important that your team understand the messages from the stand down. To help facilitate this please consider the following guidance:
- Read the speaker notes in advance and check you understand everything and are prepared.
- Make sure you have the right materials for your session.
- When holding the session, make sure it is a discussion and there is two-way dialogue with your teams. It is not about just telling them the information, it is important to discuss the topics and to listen to their questions and views.
Materials for the session
Please make sure you have all the following:
- A copy of the stand down presentation from the Health and Safety Hub. Please note you do not need to project this on a screen, you can print a copy and hold up the slides to show your team.
- A copy of this document (containing the speaker notes).
