LONDON LOCAL AUTHORITIES ACT 2007 – SECTION 20 AND 22

TIMED WASTE COLLECTIONS FOR HOUSEHOLD & COMMERCIAL WASTE

AREA AFFECTED - QUEENSBURY AREA

  1. Notice is hereby given that under Sections 20 and 22 London Local Authorities Act of 2007 (as amended) the Council of the London Borough of Brent intends to make changes to the times during which Household and/or Commercial waste (including recyclable waste) may be presented for collection and the times during which Household and/or Commercial waste (including recyclable waste)may be collected.
  1. These changes will come into effect from midnight on Sunday 22nd November2015.

3. The following streets (or portions thereof) will be affected by these changes:

  • 1-46 Queensbury Station Parade
  • 236 – 258 (odds and evens) Beverley Drive, HA8
  • 2-8 Avenue Road, NW10
  1. The effect of these changes will be that residents and/or traders may only put waste out for collection in Queensbury Parade and Beverley Drive between 08h00 and 08h30 in the morning and 19h00 and 19h30 in the evening on a daily basis. Waste may also only be collected between 08h30 and 09h30 in the morning and 19h30 and 20h30 in the evening on a daily basis in these same areas.Residents and/or traders may only put waste out for collection in Avenue Road, NW10 between06h30 and 07h00 in the morning and 18h30 and 19h00 in the evening on a daily basis. Waste may also only be collected between 07h00 and 08h00 in the morning and 19h00 and 20h00 in the evening on a daily basis in Avenue Road.
  1. A copy of the London Local Authorities Act 2007 and supporting ‘timed waste collection’ documentation including maps and frequently asked questions is available for inspection and/or purchase, during normal office hours from Mondays to Fridays at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.
  1. Printed copies of Sections 20 and 22 of the London Local Authorities Act 2007 and other documentation mentioned in Paragraph 5 may be obtained on request from the address mentioned in Paragraph 5.

  1. Persons desiring to make representations or to object to the intended changes should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof to the Head of Service, Recycling & Waste, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.
