ENCLE Spring Workshop

Theme: Preparing students for clinic

The European Network for Clinical Legal Education (ENCLE) will be holding a workshop on the theme of preparing students for clinic. The workshop will be held at Northumbria University on 15 and 16 April 2015 and is supported by the Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE).

The aim of the workshop is to generate discussion, through themed sessions, as to how clinicians can prepare their students for a clinical experience. Delegates will be able to share their own ideas and experiences whilst learning from others.

Session facilitators will be drawn from a range of jurisdictions to enhance the discussion and draw out ideas for best practice. The workshop is intended for both new and experienced clinical teachers, with a focus on strengthening their ability to prepare students for engagement in legal clinic. Cost and Registration

Delegates can attend the full workshop at a cost of £50, or attend on 15 April 2015 only at a cost of £35.

Delegates can also attend the optional dinner on the evening of 15 April 2015 at The Bridge Tavern, Newcastle upon Tyne at an additional cost of £25 per person. This Brewpub and Eatery serves British Comfort Food with a local twist. There is also a micro-brewery on the premises brewing bespoke real ales which are served directly to the pulls. Grant Funding

ENLCE, with the support of OSIFE, are able to provide financial assistance to delegates for attendance at this workshop. ENCLE will pay the cost of registration for both days of the workshop, return flights to Newcastle and accommodation in Newcastle. Delegates will be responsible for the cost of internal travel (trains, taxis etc) and the cost of the optional dinner if they choose to attend.
