DRESS REHEARSAL

INFO & POLICIES

DATE: Sun., June 4, 2017

LOCATION: El Campanil Theatre, 602 W. 2nd, Antioch

TIME: 11:00-8:30

Each class will rehearse during a 45-minute/1-hr. pre-scheduled time only. (Your child is not required to be there all day and is required to be there during their scheduled time ONLY.) This schedule will be available in April, so you will have plenty of notice and can plan your day accordingly.

THIS IS A MANDATORY REHEARSAL!

The importance of a dress rehearsal on stage cannot be stressed enough. This rehearsal takes place FOR THE STUDENTS and is a crucial step in the students’ feeling relaxed, prepared and comfortable on their big day. Even veteran dancers NEED a dress rehearsal in order to find their spacing and acclimate to a new dance space.

EXCUSED ABSENCES:

1)Pre-planned, pre-paid, non-exchangeable travel plans that were made prior to the posting of Dress Rehearsal date. This date was set and posted Sept. 2016 and has been made available to our families since.

2)Religion. In order for your child to be excused, we ask that it must be against the actual doctrine of your specific religion to participate in activities on the day of dress rehearsal – in this case, Sunday. If it is not against the doctrine of your religion and is your family’s personal belief, we ask that you consider the absolute importance and value of this event in the process of being a part of a live stage performance. You have committed to this event, and we ask that you participate in each part of the process.

We at CVDA SO appreciate and honor everyone’s religious beliefs and traditions, as well as family beliefs, traditions, policies, and guidelines – all vital to our well-being and that of our families. It is not our intention to belittle their importance as we set our rehearsal guidelines.

3)Sudden illness or emergency. In this case, please call our office as soon as

possible.

If your child is unable to participate in Dress Rehearsal for any of the excused reasons, you must contact our office in advance in order for him/her to participate in the recital.

Thank you for recognizing the importance of Dress Rehearsal. All policies are vitally important to the performance process and are in the best interest of ourstudents as dancers and performers.
