Uniforms
Tammy received $1728.00 from GWA for 96 jerseys sold. Justin will check that number compared to pre-season inventory and current inventory.
Tammy removed everything from the store and has the storage locker key.
Justin to get Tiffane numbers on what to purchase for rec. We will have the registration include an option for spring to indicate if the player needs a jersey and take this
Travel - online ordering system with Planet Soccer for spring.
We ordered 50 more than we thought we would need. We ran out. Julio ordered more. We need to be more proactive with ordering. Tiffane meeting with Julio next week and will determine next order as well as reconcile financials ($5 back to club, what we owe for coach shirts). We've never budgeted for spending on coach, always used Planet Soccer and kickback.
Budget
We have no budget for winter training, only dome time and winter trainers. This needs to be added so we can determine registration fees for spring. Tammy will give Pat the number we can pay for this winter.
Tammy will add a line for winter training and coach apparel in next year's budget.
Winter Training – Gina and Scott (10 min)
- We are planning to offer a winter training only registration for $130 (added $5 for bag tag - see below). This would include the Age Group training that begins the week of November 5th and continues through March.
- We will provide bag tags for each registered player that includes the players name and emergency contact information provided during registration.
- Track players attendance / enrollment - this would be a volunteer opportunity, no resources known at this time.
- Teams are tagged on Wednesday calendar but this is not a club soccer night. This was removed.
Youth Coaching Program update - Pat
Start youth coaching program 15-17 y/o, invite them to winter training, put them with strong coach to get them started, pay them $10/hr. This will help with the U9/U10 ages.
This started today. We have three U17 boys working Tues/Thurs. Pat working with Erin (varsity girls' coach) on mentor program. Pat will get W9s for these boys to Tammy.
New business:
Board Members / Club volunteers – All (25 min)
- Proposed Organization – DRAFT for discussion
- Board positions to fill
- President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Job postings for other projects, not necessarily need to be a board member
- Competitive Travel Reps
- Rec Reps
- Marketing
- Webmaster - Scott has been transition web activities to Bruce DeWitt who will take over this responsibility.
- Risk Manager - Bruce has offered to perform a risk assessment. I believe he could be assigned as our Risk Manager for MYSA which is "strongly encouraged" by MYSA.
- Uniforms – Going forward, this would not need to be a Board position. Dustin has a soccer equipment company which could supply for the club. Tammy will check with our attorney to make sure it is not a conflict of interest.
- Scott B will talk with parents about volunteer options at winter training. Uniform, tryout, equipments, volunteer coordinator
DOC Update – Pat
- Top Team Team Training - Pat
- Age group training starts the week of 11/4 and has been posted on the website. It is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Top Team training (excluding the U17 session that was added and starts 11/3) will begin in January. The Tuesday training was a good experience. We should have a better idea of how full the hours are and could potentially add groups depending on attendance.
- We need to get the schedule posted by December 1, 2013 - Pat.
- GK Training (Club sponsored)– Pat – Proposing leveraging Sunday night dome partially funded by Club for U17 boys for GK training. Pat is looking for providing trainers while maintaining proposed winter training budget.
Rec issues – Justin
- Survey feedback
- Need to review Club’s direction on Rec. Pat: we are rec and a travel program. Option of having a separate registration for supplemental training for older kids.
- Recommend that Pat propose strategy with input from Justin, JP and others directly involved. Board to review recommendations.
