LOCALSPANISHSTUDENTS SCORE WELL
Congratulations to several world language students from Cleburne High School who attainednationalrecognition for excellent performance on the 2014 NationalSpanishExaminations.
Students from Cleburne High School earned a total of twelve (12) gold, seven (7) silver and eleven (11) bronze medals along with twenty one (21) honorable mentions. “Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on theNationalSpanishExaminations is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi,NationalDirector of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 154,000 students participating in 2014.”
Students from Cleburne High School have a long history of high achievement on these exams and were taught bySpanishteachers, Mrs Rios, Mrs Victory, Ms Roman and Mr. Salazar.
TheNationalSpanishExaminations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanishand Portuguese.
