IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Local Scholarships

Seniors, local scholarships are becoming available fast! Please check this website and outside the counseling office in the LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP binder for applications.

February 4, 2016

This is CAP Conference Day. Seniors do not have to attend school this day; however, Seniors with D’s and F’s will be required to attend school. Seniors, you will be required to take a college day, engage in a job shadow, or community service event. If you will not complete these activities, you must be here at school in study hall. You will be required to show proof. Failure to do so will result in the day being counted against you.

***If you would like a recommendation for scholarships or college applications, you are REQUIRED to provide a week’s notice in advance. Failure to do so will result in an inability to fill your request. Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

When you have been accepted to the college you want to attend, please bring your acceptance letter to the counselor’s office! We have created a new “Look Who’s Going…” board to showcase our students who are going to college after graduation!

If you need an official transcript for your college application to be sent to a college, you must sign up on the clipboard in the counselor’s office. If your college requires a copy of your shot record, you will need to provide that to Mrs. Brenda as we do not have access to this information.

***Seniors are allowed two college days to meet with admissions representatives, have campus tours, etc. College day forms can be picked up outside the counselor’s office. Please contact the school to set up a visit day.
