LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

2015

Applications are available February 26 through March 27. Deadline is March 27. Applications will be on-line and on computer disc.

  1. Alan C. Hall Memorial Scholarship - senior attending any school in the Kentucky Community/Technical College System (Ex: Gateway, Bluegrass, Maysville).
  2. Bank of Kentucky – no specific criteria
  3. Butler Baptist Church Scholarship/Sudie King Memorial – must be active in his/her church, including attendance and participation in activities.
  4. Butler Lions Club: must reside in Northern Pendleton Co. Application qualifies students for Charles “Buster” Moreland Scholarship and the Louis McClanahan Memorial.
  5. Chris Cox Memorial Scholarship – no specific criteria.
  6. Chris Wolfe Memorial – must be a varsity member of an athletic team.
  7. Dale Kirsch Memorial Scholarship – PCHS senior involved in music in the community and/or high school.
  8. DeBra Kuempel Service Inc. – must plan to major in engineering or vocational heating and air conditioning.
  9. Doug Dawson FFA Memorial Scholarship – active in PCHS FFA and planning to major in agriculture at a university or college or attending any program at a technical college.
  10. Douglas R. Wright Leadership Scholarship – demonstrated leadership experience and potential, evidence of personal character, interest in community and service and commitment to personal growth. Open to students pursuing any level of education after high school.
  11. Earl & Ruby Wyatt Memorial – member of FBLA or DECA.
  12. Eddie Wright Memorial Scholarship – no specific criteria.
  13. Evan Charles People Memorial – completing senior year at PCHS. Priority given to students going into law enforcement, criminal justice or civil service.
  14. Falmouth High School Alumni – open to seniors who have family that graduated/attended Falmouth High School.
  15. Falmouth Rotary Club – no specific criteria.
  16. FFA Alumni Scholarship – available to graduating PCHS seniors active in FFA with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and planning to attend a trade school, 2-year or 4-year college.
  17. Fifth Third Bank – no specific criteria.
  18. Harry Gilbert Memorial – planning to attend Morehead State University.
  19. Hilltop Stone – no specific criteria.
  20. Jennifer Butcher Memorial – graduating from PCHS and participant in girls or boys soccer team for at least 2 years.
  21. Joe E. Kearns Memorial – actively involved in PCHS music program and planning to major in music
  22. Josh Browning Memorial Scholarship – Pendleton senior and a recipient of Work Ethic Diploma.
  23. Kentucky Wool Festival, Inc. – graduating from Pendleton High and applying to vocational/technical school or college.
  24. Kincaid Park Development –Open to vocational school, associates or bachelor’s degree programs.
  25. Kincaid Regional Theatre – plan to major in performing arts, technical theatre field, music or dance.
  26. Ky. Blood Center/Power of Life Scholarship – must be able to demonstrate participation in some way in school or community blood drives with Central Kentucky Blood Center.
  27. Licking Valley Antique Machinery Assoc. LLC - must have a 2.5 gpa, enrolling in an auto-truck program, or an ag major at a trade, tech or college.
  28. Lois Campbell Wilson Memorial Scholarship – must be accepted at a university to earn a 4-year bachelor’s degree in teacher education, any grade level K-12.
  29. Lu Lu & Harvey Record Memorial – must have participated in basketball or cheerleading during the senior year.
  30. Northern Elementary Margaret Morford Memorial – must have attended Northern Elementary.
  31. P.C.H.S. Band Booster & Alumni Scholarship – must be actively involved in P.C.H.S. band or chorus program.
  32. P.C.H.S. Principals’ Scholarship – need and sincerity of purpose will be taken into consideration. Open to PCHS graduating senior.
  33. Pendleton Co. 4-H Youth Development Scholarship – enrolled in and active 4-H member.
  34. Pendleton Co.Beef Cattle Assoc. – PCHS grad planning to enter ag related field or currently living on a farm.
  35. Pendleton Co. Class of ’78 – must be a child or grandchild of an alumni of PCHS class of ’78.
  36. Pendleton Co. Conservation District – must be planning to study agriculture or any area of conservation and graduating from PCHS.
  37. Pendleton Co. Cooperative of Churches – must be active in local church.
  38. Pendleton Co. Democratic Women’s Club – must be registered with Democratic Party or planning to. One parent must also be registered with the Democratic Party.
  39. Pendleton Co.Education Association – no specific criteria.
  40. Pendleton Co. Education Foundation Managed Scholarship – open to 4-year college students and vocational/technical/community school students. This application qualifies students for the following scholarships administered by the PCEF: Tom & Georgia (Tippy) Moreland, Class of 1960, Class of 1962, Lucille Abernathy Memorial Scholarship, and the Virgilene Ritter Moore Scholarship.
  41. Pendleton Co. Farm Bureau Federation – family must be members of Farm Bureau Insurance.
  42. Pendleton Co. Homemakers – must be a child or grandchild of Homemaker Club member.
  43. Pendleton Co. 109 Solid Waste Management Board Scholarship – graduating from PCHS.
  44. Richard Gulick/Bobby Wood Memorial – open to a PCHS graduating senior.
  45. Southern Elementary PTO Betty Doutaz Memorial – must have attended Southern Elementary, grades K-6.
  46. Stephen A. Delaney Memorial – planning to study drafting, carpentry or engineering.
  47. Stephen Dale Elrod Memorial – male/female athlete with strong Christian character, strong academic student (3.5 GPA) with leadership and citizenship qualities.
  48. UK Alumni Association – planning to attend UK.
  49. US Bank – must be a customer of US Bank with preference to a student intending to major in a business or banking and finance field.
  50. Woodman of the World – family must be members of Woodman of the World.
  51. Zachary Joseph Heringer Memorial – 3.0 cumulative GPA on unweighted 4.0 scale and a minimum of 1 full school year at PCHS.

CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS

  1. Student Council – one to a senior member. See Mrs. Hart for application.
  2. National Honor Society – senior member. Application throughCounseling Office.
  3. FBLA /Chamber of Commerce– senior member. Application through Counseling Office.
