SANCTION:The 2013 Fueled Autumn Sprints is held under the sanction of USA Swimming, Inc., and New Mexico Swimming, Inc. NMS Sanction:

FACILITY:Pool Elevation is 5395 ft. The Farmington Aquatic Center is an indoor 8 lane, 50 meter pool with a Colorado Timing/Start system and an 8 lane numeric scoreboard. The 50 meter pool will be configured as a 25 yard competition course with the north, starting end having a 14 foot depth that transitions to a 7 foot depth at the turning, bulkhead end. There will be warm-up and cool-down lanes available in the portion of the 50 meter pool not utilized for competition. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with USA Swimming 104.2.2C(4).

VENUE:Restroom facilities are located at the south end of the facility, in addition to a Family Changing Room. The City of Farmington prohibits smoking or the use of tobacco products on the pool deck, in the changing rooms, in spectator seating, and in all areas used by swimmers during the course of this meet. Glass containers are not allowed anywhere inside the Farmington Aquatic Center. The leisure pools at the Farmington Aquatic Center are “off-limits” to all participants, spectators, and officials during the meet. The meet safety marshal will patrol all of these areas.

RACING STARTS:Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure the compliance with this requirement.

RECORDINGThe use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone camera, is not DEVICES: permitted inchanging areas, restrooms or locker rooms.

DECKExcept where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into and out of swimsuits other CHANGES: than in locker rooms, or other designated areas, is not appropriate and is prohibited.

OFFICIALS:when on deck. Coaches who are non-compliant, will not be allowed on deck. There will be a coaches meeting approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet.

We welcome all officials to assist us in our meet. Please contact John Lorimerwith the names of qualified officials who are willing to help. However, if the need for officials should arise, all teams entered in the meet will be contacted for assistance.

HOSPITALITY:A hospitality room will only be available for coaches, officials, and meet personnel.

MERCHANDISE:A team merchandise shop will be available for swim equipment and apparel sales.

MEET This meet will be run using the “Fly-Over Start” procedures. At the conclusion of each

OPERATION: heat, all swimmers shall remain in the water until after the next heat has been started. Coaches, please remind your swimmers of the “Flyover Start” procedures. No recall false starts will be in effect.

ELIGIBILITY:Open to all USA Swimming registered athletes. All participating teams must sign and return, with their entries, the team registration form that attests to their swimmers’ current USA Swimming registration. All registrations will be verified. The swimmer’s age as of October 26, 2013 shall be used to determine their age group competition. No on deck USA Swimming registrations will be accepted.

RULES:2013-2014 USA Swimming and NM Swimming rules will govern the conduct of this meet, unless otherwise noted within the meet information. All athletes must be supervised by a currently registered USA Swimming coach during warm-up, competition, and cool-down.

SWIMWEAR: All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel, or below the knees. For women, the swim suit shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, or extend below the knee. No fasteners or zippers, other than drawstrings, are allowed. The meet referee shall have the authority to restrict swimmers from competition until they are in compliance with the rule.

WARM-UP:An open warm-up is in effect and is scheduled to begin at 8:00AM, with the meet starting at 9:00AM. However, warm-up times with lane assignments may be imposed if the demand for separate sessions is needed. An email will be sent out prior to the start of the meet if this occurs. A USA Swimming coach member, with current credentials,must supervise all swimmers during all warm-up sessions.

FORMAT:The Fueled Autumn Sprints is a one day,timed finals meet. Swimmers will compete in their respective 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & Over age groups. All events will be pre-seeded. 8 lanes will be used for the competition, but may be adjusted to 6 lanes depending on the number of swimmers entered in the meet.

AWARDSNo awards will be given at this meet. Heat winners will receive chocolate, while the rest SCORING: of the competitors will get candy at the end of their race.Individual events will be scored

ENTRY INFO:Swimmers may participate in a maximum of 4 individual and two relay events. Entries should be submitted in or converted to yards. All entries are to be received no later than 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. All teams must submit their entries via email, using Hy-Tek Meet Manager/Team Manager software or through Team Unify, along with a PDF copy of the meet entries. Please include relays and relay only swimmers on your electronic submission. Relays may be mixed gender and age so that all swimmers may have the chance to participate on a relay. ENTRY FEES:A $20 flat rate for all swimmers will be charged for all athletes entered into the meet. This will pay for all meet fees. Payment and a hard-copy printout of all meet entries must submitted or postmarked no later than midnight on Thursday, October 17, 2013. Make team checks payable to “FARMINGTON UNITED.” All meet fees are non-refundable.

DECK ENTRIES:A $5.00 charge for all individual events, per athlete, and a $5.00 charge for relay events, per team, willbe charged for deck entries on the morning of the meet. Deck entries must be completed 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet and will only be accepted if lanes are available. No new heats will be created.A swimmer’s 2013 or 2014 USA Swimming Registration Card must be shown prior to the acceptance of any deck entries. No on deck registrations will be accepted.
