Live and Silent Auction Rules

Golden Ticket Raffle. Raffle tickets will be sold, $5 for 1 ticket and $25 for 6 tickets. Please write your name and phone number on back of tickets and then place Golden Raffle Ticket in bag in front of item of your choice. Winners of Golden Ticket Raffle will be announced at end of evening and also posted on bid sheets. All Golden Baskets are valued in excess of $200.

Once the Live Auctionbegins, it will continue without interruption until all items have been auctioned. To bid in theLive Auction you must raise your program high enough to signal the Auctioneer. Each timeyou bid, you will be obliged to pay your bid price in full if you are determined to be the high bidder by the Auctioneer. The Auctioneer will determine the close of bidding and the winning bidder.

Tobid in the Silent Auctionyou must enter your name, phone number and amount of the bid on the bidding sheets provided. The first bidder must open with at least the minimum bid. Bids must increase by the minimum increments noted on the bid sheet to be valid. Bids may not be altered or withdrawn once made.

Values stated for both Live and Silent Auction items are a good faith estimate of the fair market valuewhich the donor has provided for the item and are not warranted for tax or fair market value by St. Benedict Parish.

A last call for bidding will be made prior to the closing of the Silent Auctiontables. No bidding will be allowed after a table is closed. All decisions of the Auction Committee are FINAL!!

CHECK OUT, at the close of the Silent Auction, after determining you are the winning bidder, please bring the yellow and pink copies from auction tables to check out area. Present both copies to cashier for payment. Only after payment has been completed, may you retrieve your items from the secured auction area.

The winning bidder is responsible for all purchased items. YOU MUST MAKE PAYMENT IN FULL on the night of the Auction. Cash, check, or credit card (Master Card or Visa) may be used to make payments. All items must be taken with bidder the night of the auction. Special arrangements may be made for larger items which require transportation.

All sales are subject to the terms the donor has placed on the item. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to review all gift certificates for restrictions and expiration dates. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to make arrangements for the use of any privately owned property or private services offered.

The Auction committee reserves the right to change, add to or remove from the auction any items it deems appropriate.
