Finals Day Sunday 23rd June
We encourage all members to enter our annual tournaments. The matches give you the opportunity to play friendly, competitive tennis and meet many members of the club.
We hope to see as many members as possible at Finals Day. A buffet lunch will be served and there will be a barbecue later in the afternoon. Separate Junior Tournaments will be organised by the club coach to be played on Finals Day.
Format and Rules:
1. Finals Day is Sunday 23rd June. Only enter if you will be available to play on this day.
2. There will be a £2 entry fee for each event, to be sent with membership forms.
3. Entry is open to all members aged 16 years or over, by 31st March 2013. Under 16’s may enter tournaments on the invitation of the coach.
4. Entries must be received by 31st March 2013.
5. Draws will be seeded at the discretion of the Tournament Organisers and will be posted in the club house on Sunday 7th April.
6. Partners for doubles events will be drawn at random, with first team players not eligible to play together.
7. Players will arrange matches at their convenience and must ensure that each round is completed before the deadline.
8. It is the responsibility of the pair/individual at the top of the draw for each round to contact the opposition and arrange the match.
9. Players to provide balls.
10. Each round will be the best of 3 tie break sets. However, if players agree beforehand, the 3rd set may be a Championship Tie break to 10 points.
11. Match winners to send result to one of the Tournament Organisers as soon as the match has been completed.
