Easy to use

make one suggestion on how you would technologically improve each site - use what you have considered when constructing your websites - be specific [3 pts @]

The site is very simple to use I wouldn’t change a thing

make one suggestion on what content you would add to each site to improve it - use knowledge that will enhance the site - be specific [3 pts @]

I would incorporate more questions. It was a very quick assessment which leads the consumer to believe it may not be accurate, and in truth the cite is not accurate and needs to ask more to get a better idea of the individuals health. However it does make good suggestions.

was the information accurate - why or why not - how do you know? - give specific reason(s) why you know [4 pts @]

I found the information to be inaccurate. I weight train everyday, and incorporate exercises that raise the heart rate to 85% and above. I am not a runner. The fitness assessment is based off one question where you estimate your 5K time. If you don’t run 5K’s you assume a higher time which skews the data.

indicate how you could use the site in your profession - be specific [3 pts @]

I doubt I could ever use this in my profession. In order to be the best I can be I need to have more accurate assessments. However I could use it supplemental in client assessments on the first day I meet with them. For instance If a client walked into my gym and asked what can your personal training department do for me. It would be quick and easy and give me a very basic idea of the individual.

use the calculators, surveys, quizzes, etc. and comment on how well they identified you based on the criteria used - you should not pay to use the calculators - if there is no calculator, say so - if there is a calculator and it has a charge associated with it, don't pay and let me know there is a calculator and it has a charge to use it [4 pts @]

The survey was very inaccurate

very easy to use

make one suggestion on how you would technologically improve each site - use what you have considered when constructing your websites - be specific [3 pts @]

The website is very bland. Surrounded by ads it vibes a very commercial atmosphere. I would take it back a notch and make it more private to make the information more believable.

make one suggestion on what content you would add to each site to improve it - use knowledge that will enhance the site - be specific [3 pts @]

The site didn’t give me any valuable information at all. It basically congratulated me on my ability to workout. It did not provide an evaluation of my fitness level. The site should have asked me more after discovering I am classified in the advanced exerciser. It should have asked how do I train, and given me suggestions on what I can incorporate.

was the information accurate - why or why not - how do you know? - give specific reason(s) why you know [4 pts @]

The information was correct. I have been training since I was 12 and I am very knowledgeable on the topic. It basically told me what I already know.

I would not use this site either. It does not provide me with any valuable information.

This website does not need much technological alterations. When using a calculator such as this I want everything right in front of me, easily accessible to the eye without bouncing around from tab to tab. This cite does a very nice job of that.

As far as target heart rate is concerned, this cite says it all. It gives you descriptions of all training zones and how they are beneficial, it gives you methods of calculating target heart rate, and methods of measuring your heart rate. There is nothing to add.

was the information accurate - why or why not - how do you know? - give specific reason(s) why you know [4 pts @]

I took safety and first aid, and I was an EMT in high school. I read through the website and can’t find anything inaccurate to the best of my knowledge.

In my profession athletes and clients alike have different goals, soccer players require cardio endurance while football players require anaerobic capacity. Being able to apply this information is crucial, and this cite explains how.

The information I read on sit and reach testing was accurate; I learned this in kinesiology last year. There are so many tests I didn’t check anything else.

indicate how you could use the site in your profession - be specific [3 pts @]

in my profession I would use it as a take how for clients to assess themselves and keeo a private log at how to show their progress. Its great to do this with your trainer but it is important to have them doing things on their own. You want the client to learn how to be independent in the fitness world.

use the calculators, surveys, quizzes, etc. and comment on how well they identified you based on the criteria used - you should not pay to use the calculators - if there is no calculator, say so - if there is a calculator and it has a charge associated with it, don't pay and let me know there is a calculator and it has a charge to use it [4 pts @]
