IN THE HOUSE

December, 2014 VOL. LIV

“Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.”

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL

The board directors extends sincere wishes to

all shareholders and staff along with their families for a joyous and healthy holiday season. Once again our holiday lobby decorations, including a very new Christmas tree, have been coordinated by Joe Dente.

Thanks Joe. An outstanding job once again!

LET THE OFFICE KNOW IF YOU’RE EXPECTING

The number of cars that can be parked on the grounds is limited. On certain holidays, the garage

is full to capacity and other areas on the grounds are

opened to guests. So that our staff can plan accordingly should you be expecting large numbers of guests on a particular holiday, please advise the office.

OH THOSE VALVES

There is a valve, generally with a handle, on each of the

heating/air conditioning units in your apartment. DON’T

EVER TOUCH THEM! They are old, very very old. Turning them generally results in a leak. LEAVE THEM ALONE! Should you notice any leakage under a heating/

air conditioning unit, CALL FOR MAINTENANCE IMMEDIATELY! DON’T REMOVE THE COVERS ON YOUR UNITS AS LEAKS CAN SHOOT UP AS WELL AS DOWN.

UPDATING SHAREHOLDER INFORMATION

Please be reminded to complete the shareholder survey which was an attachment to last month’s newsletter. The office needs to have such information on file in the event of any kind of emergency. You may pick

up a additional copies of the form in the office at your convenience.

LOBBY FURNITURE

That area of the lobby which previously housed

a couch and two chairs is being redesigned. A committee

has developed a plan and is in the process of making recommendations to the board regarding appropriate

items for this area. Many thanks to Ruth Divack, an A.I.S.D designer by profession, for advising us on this project.

C.H.A.C. HOLIDAY

WINE AND CHEESE PARTY

Those shareholders participating are reminded that this

event is scheduled for Sunday, December 14th at

4:00 P.M. in the clubroom

CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD DONATIONS

Shareholders making donations of clothing and/or

household products to charities such as the Salvation

Army, Veterans’ groups, etc. are asked to have such

items picked up from the doorman.

Accordingly, bags of clothing slated for pick-up on a

particular day should be labeled with the name and apartment # of the person making the donation, the

name of the charity, and the date of pick-up.

The labeled bag should be brought to the doorman who will store it until the pick-up date.

Bags of donated clothing in the hallways are not only unsightly, are in violation of the fire code, and provide a risk factor for falls and subsequent litigation.

PLEASE COOPERATE!

UNITS ON THE MARKET

At its December 2014 meeting, the board of directors

agreed to move units 1C,14L and 15D to the interview

phase of the purchase process.
