Cheerleading Clinic and Tryouts

April 13-April 17

·  The cheerleading clinic will be held on April 13th , 14th , and 16th (nothing on the 15th)

l  The clinic will be held at Liberty Middle School from 4:30-6:00pm

l  Tryouts will be held on April 17th from 4:30 until the final group has gone (TBA)

l  Girls can check the cheerleading website for the music used for try outs

l  Words to all chants and cheers will also be posted online

l  All participants must wear a plain white shirt and navy blue or black shorts on Friday for the tryouts.

Requirements to try out for cheerleading

1. Must have the following items into Ms. White by Thursday APRIL 2nd :

  • Current physical on file- Physicals are only current for one year

·  Parent consent form

2. All participants must currently be passing 5 out of 7 classes to be eligible to try out. For those who make the squad, grades will be checked at the end of the year to make ensure the 70+ average has been maintained.

Football/ Competition Cheerleading Payment and Time Commitments

1. Cheerleaders who make the team will incur costs for proper attire. Accurate cost requirements will be given. We will be happy to discuss payment options to squad members who need it.

2. Both the participants and the parents must understand the time involved in cheerleading.

Any of the following will take precedence over other commitments.

l  Before/After school practice

l  Football/Basketball games

l  Competitions

l  Fundraisers/dances

l  Camps/Clinics

FOOTBALL/COMPETITION ONLY: Mark your calendars for the following dates:

l  May TBA: Practice after school 4:30-6 in gym and/or rotunda

l  May 6th: Uniform fitting at school 4:30

*****Payment due for everything ordered from Varsity on this date******

l  May 15th: Patriot BBQ at 6pm

l  May 16-17: camp at ATA All-Stars Gym (Sat/Sun 10-2) $65

Summer ATA gym times: MONDAY nights from 5-7 $50 paid to ATA

l  June16-18 stunt camp at ATA***this camp is MANDATORY*** (10-1) $85

l  July 21-25 stunt camp and choreography camp at ATA***this camp is MANDATORY***

l  Starting July 20th practices may officially begin and will be held

l  TBA July : Chant camp at Liberty (ALL SQUADS)

Practice Schedule for football/competition once school begins on August 7:

l  Friday nights will need to be left open once the competition season begins, especially the night before a competition 5-7

l  Saturdays in September and October for Competitions (4-5 total)\
