Chase the Chief Run and Fun Run04March2018

Mission: To support the Chase the Chief Fun Run, Timed 5K and Wellness Program sponsored by GISD Council of PTAs and Georgetown PD. The GISD Council of PTA and the Georgetown Police Department have joined forces to take on one the most important challenges facing our youth today - childhood obesity. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity and good nutrition. Following the race, we will have an Award Ceremony at the EVHS Athletic Field, waters and healthy snacks, a Kids' Activities Area including "Mini-Police Academy" Obstacle Courses and a Community Fitness Fair.Please register to volunteer online at the following link: in these event orders.

Reporting Time and Location:1215 Work Detail (10 cadets), 1300- Color Guard Detail, and 1330- Platoon Run Detail (15 cadets) all at the GISD stadium.

EstimatedTime of Completion: 1700 (5:00PM) for work detail. Other details within 30 minutes of event start time. Itinerary:

12:30pm-1:15pm- Setup Vendors' tables (3 cadets)
1:30pm –NJROTC Color Guard for opening ceremony (ceremony starts at 2pm)
2pm-4:30pm- water station handing out water bottles to racers (5-8 cadets)
2pm- ROTC runners with Fun Run (shirts for runners)
4:30pm-5pm- Clean-up (5-8 cadets)

I, Cadet ______acknowledge that I have been approved for participation in the above event and that I have been issued the event orders based upon my verbal commitment. I recognize that it is my responsibility to activate these orders by returning them signed no later than 3 days after receipt to confirm review and consent by a parent or guardian. I understand the instruction and direction provided above for the orderly and proper execution of this mission. In addition, I promise to conduct myself in a manner consistent with the Navy’s core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment and to obey all GISD rules and applicable laws. Finally, I understand that if for any reason it becomes necessary to cancel my commitment, I must do so in writing at least 24 hours in advance and that failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.

Transportation:Cadets will provide their own transportation to and from the event

Food: Lunch will be brought in for volunteers and water will be provided

Uniform and Equipment: Worker Detail: NJROTCshirt and trousers, Runners: NJROTC PT gear (provide project officer with T-Shirt size- Race T-Shirts will be provided to platoon runners, and Color Guard Detail; Uniform as Prescribed.
