Levis Commons To Host Haunted Attraction….. With A Twist

PERRYSBURG, OH – It’sover 4,500 SF of winding hallways and dark corners. It’shigh tech props and special effects. It’s lighting and sounds to terrorize your senses. But it is also so much more.

This October, Levis Commons will host “DISTRACTED”, a haunted attraction like no other in the area. The haunt is being created by two local haunted house fanatics and is a culmination of years of prop building, testing and passion for all things scary, creepy and frightening. The labyrinth of terror and scene after scene of frightening images have been sketched out and planned to perfection. However, the dark halls are not the only “twist” in this haunted attraction.

DISTRACTED will not only entertain the community, it will also give back to the community! The developers of the haunt have partnered with Team Recovery, a local organization helping to fight the heroin epidemic in NW Ohio. Team Recovery volunteers will be actively assisting with the operations of the haunt, and a significant portion of the proceeds will be given back to Team Recovery to support its cause. In addition, every Sunday at DISTRACTED is “Care To Scare” day. Local charities and nonprofits will be given a percentage of admission prices.

“We have created this haunted attraction because it’s something that we have a passion for” said Scott Francis, the lead developer. “But we also wanted to provide it for the community. A fun night out with friends, a date-night, a business outing, and a way to give back to some of the local organizations who serve us.”

Matt Bell of Team Recovery stated, “Our volunteers and supporters are so excited about this opportunity. It’s such a fun way to build our organization and bring much needed awareness of addiction recovery support in NW Ohio.”

DISTRACTED is set to open in early October and will run through the first weekend in November, with operating hours every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. “I’ve had a sneak peek” said Allison Schroeder, Marketing Director of Levis Commons. “I promise, you are going to jump, you are going to scream, you are going to be scared….but you are also going to walk away with a big smile about what amazing things can take place when people collaborate for a cause”.
