We now have Math on Istation for a trial basis. The trial is good until December. I believe most students have gone in and taken their initial assessment so they should be good to start now. Remember you can access Istation reading and math at home. If you need another letter explaining how to download it I can get that for you. Just let me know.

Nov.14-18 Read: Animal Babies in Grasslands--What do you think the author wanted us to learn in this story? Who were the animals from the story yesterday? What was the author trying to teach us? Which is your favorite animal? Why? Name the animal baby, and see if students can name the mother.

Fun games at home to help review skills include: Chutes and ladders
-sort the laundry
-count the groceries as you shop
-let your child help you write out the grocery list
-have your child point out numbers in the environment
-count cars as you travel over the holiday season
-use magnetic letters and have your child form words with them
-after you read a story have your child tell you what they just read-this is great for recall of information! Can they answer who , what, when , where, why questions about the story
-Have your child help when you bake-talk about measurement.
