Instructor Mentorship Program Letter of Support[2015-2016]

[Name of Instructor]has expressed interest in participating in Red River College’s Instructor Mentorship Program workshop for Mentors on October 29 & 30, 2015, and has named you to provide a letter of support. This volunteer mentor role will involve meeting with an Instructor Protégé for approximately four hours per month over a period of six months from November 2015 to May 2016.

The Mentor’s role is intended to be:

●structuredand purposeful, based on defined goals developed with the protégé and addressing specific aspects of instructor development over time;

●supportiveand conducive to fostering a collegial and collaborative professional learning community within the College that supports professional development and builds professional capacity; and,

●differentiatedand tailored to the learning needs of the Protégé, and his or her background and training.
