Letter of Agreement for Discount Subscription

  1. THE HAWORTH PRESS, INC., will offer a subscription to the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing (four issues per volume) at a reduced rate of $45 per volume, including postage and handling, to all members, beginning with volume 11. The reduced subscription is intended for individual subscribers only (not institutions or libraries). (regular subscription rates (per volume):

Individuals: $75

Institutions: $150

Libraries: $315

  1. The initial term of the agreement will be three volumes (approximately 2004 to 2006). This arrangement will terminate at the end of these three volumes unless a new agreement is made. This discount is not automatically renewable. (Note that Haworth subscription are per volume, not per year.)
  2. The price offered will be held for the term of the agreement and thereafter will be reviewed. The Academy shall list the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing as an optional journal purchase (at the reduced price above) on all AMS annual dues and conference registration materials as well as on its website. (THE HAWORTH PRESS, INC., requires that tearsheets or email notice of this be forwarded to us for verification.)
  3. The Academy will forward all requests for subscriptions to THE HAWORTH PRESS, INC., who will be responsible for invoicing and implementing the subscriptions.
  4. THE HAWORTH PRESS, INC., shall provide the Academy of Marketing Science with a statement by March 31 of each year showing the number of member subscriptions entered from January 1 through December 31 of the preceding year, and will rebate to the Academy an amount of $10 per member subscription.
  5. On signature of the agreement, the Academy shall inform its members by e-mail of the new relationship, shall place a posting on ELMAR announcing the relationship, and make a similar announcement in the AMS Quarterly and in general make its best efforts to encourage uptake of the special rate. The Haworth Press, Inc., will assign a special offer code that AMS will use when announcing the special discount, helping Haworth to better track orders.
  6. Commencing in 2004, THE HAWORTH PRESS, INC., shall provide one free page per issue in the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing (4 issues per volume) to the Academy to promote its activities. (Please note that two issues may be bound together. In those instances, THE HAWORTH PRESS, INC., will allow two free pages in this double issue.)
