Les Monuments et les Attractions de Paris

For this project, you will choose a Parisian landmark (historical monument, cathedral, museum, park, tourist attraction or other well-known structure) to construct and describe to your classmates. This project will have four parts. You will research information about this landmark and fulfill the following requirements:

1) write a detailed one-page paper (double-spaced) in ENGLISH about the landmark. You must use at least 2 sources and cite your sources (Internet addresses or book information)on your typed paper to turn in.You will email your completed paper to me by 7 a.m. Tuesday, November 15. You will need to bring a printed out version on Thursday, November 17 when you present your project.

2) draw a full color map that shows where the landmark is located (can be small scale – a few streets the correct arrondissement in which it is located or large scale – all of Paris). Make sure that we can see it from the back of the classroom!

3) construct a model of the landmark.. Use at least one full sized Kleenex box - make sure it is opened – be creative, don’t just print something from the internet and glue it on!!! This must have a handmade aspect. Materials must be school appropriate.

4) oral presentation You will read your paper in English and present your model to the class. Use the correct French pronunciation of your monument, museum or famous place. Plan to bring provide clear visual aids for your presentation. Make us want to go there!
