His duties include, but are not limited to, performing industrial and municipal Clean Water Act inspections, i.e., stormwater, industrial and municipal process wastewaters, and spill prevention control and countermeasures inspections. He has an undergraduate engineering degree in chemical engineering, a graduate degree in civil-environmental engineering, and is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of MA. Jeff is the assistant Village Manager for the Village/Town of Mount Kisco in Westchester County, where he is responsible for over seeing the day-to-day operations of the Water and Sewer Departments and implements policy directives of the Village Board of Trustees. Previously, Jeff was Deputy Town Engineer for the Town of Yorktown, NY. He plays an active part on the CPESC Council, serving consecutive terms as the Northeast Regional Representative. Jeff recently also took office as the Financial Vice Chair of the CPESC, Inc. Executive Committee; as such, he shall have the general charge of the corporate books and records and of the corporate seal.

Ron Faucher was elected to the office of President of the IECA Board of Directors in 2007. The NEC’s long-time Secretary and Representative of the State of Maine,He isthe chairman of the IECA’s Future of the Association Strategy Team and an active participant in the Chapter Advisory, Executive and Finance Committees. Ronalso serves as IECA Northeast Chapter Secretaryand as theMaine Representativeon the NEC Board of Directors. He recently retired from his position as Watershed Protection Coordinator for the Portland (Maine) Water District, where he worked for over 40 years.

Kim Greenwood is a Principal at Solid Ground Environmental, where she provides training in erosion & sediment control both on constructions sites and in classroom settings, including presentations for the IECA Northeast Chapter, the Vermont Bar Association, Associated General Contractors of VT and Lorman Educational Services. Kim previously worked for the VT ANR Department of Environmental Conservation administering the construction stormwater program, and she has served as an expert witness in Act 250 on matters such as soil erosion, riparian buffers and water quality. Kim concurrently serves as Staff Scientist for the VT Natural Resources Council. She holds degrees in aquatic resources and mechanical engineering.

Pete has been in the erosion & sediment control industry since 1978. As Erosion Control & Geoproduct Manager for Team EJ Prescott, Pete is actively involved in Team EJP’s educational program of seminars and workshops. Team EJP is assisting project engineers, government regulators and contractors with jobsite compliance issues, and has assembled a very strong group of vendor partners to provide solutions to common erosion and sediment control problems. Prior to joining the Team EJP, Pete was marketing manager for North American Green in Evansville, IN.

Don graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1970 with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. He "retired" from the United States Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservation Service in 1995 after 27 years of service. He is a principal author of the "New York Standards and Specifications for Erosion and Sediment Control" and the "New York Contractors Erosion and Sediment Control Field Notebook". He is an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University and at SUNY-ESF where he teaches a graduate engineering Stormwater Short Course curriculum that he developed on erosion & sediment control and stormwater design. Don has presented over 560 training sessions in erosion & sediment control, hydrology and stormwater management throughout the country and he is a past recipient of the International Erosion Control Association's Sustained Contributor Award.

Mickey Marcus is a Senior Scientist and Principal of New England Environmental, where he has worked since 1989. He holds a Master's Degree in wildlife/zoology from the University of Maine. Mickey is certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist and has worked on the restoration of ponds and aquatic habitats throughout Massachusetts and the Northeast States. He is a Massachusetts Certified Pesticide Applicator with a Commercial Aquatic license, and works on the restoration of public and private ponds, lakes, and wetlands. Mickey has been used as an expert witness on wetlands and botanical work by the Massachusetts Attorneys General on environmental criminal cases, by the U.S. Department of Justice on Federal wetland restoration cases and by many private entities.

Mike is a Senior Civil Engineer at HW Lochner Inc (LOCHNER). He has over 15 Years of diverse experience, which includes Environmental Investigation Oversight, Remediation Design and Construction Oversight, Storm Water Permit Engineer, and Hydraulic/Drainage Engineer for Transportation Projects and private projects. At LOCHNER, he supports the structures and civil disciplines with hydraulic, drainage, and permits needs. Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from Norwich University in Northfield, VT, and a Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in VT, CT, NY and MA. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Hartford, which he teaches Engineering Hydrology to undergraduate and graduate level students. He presented Forecasting Flood Events using the Army Corps of Engineers Hydraulic Modeling System for the Unionville Brook in Farmington, CT at the Association of Engineering Geologist in Boston, MA, in November of 2006.

Peter studied geology in college and became an environmental consultant when he graduated in 1986, specializing in remediation of soil and groundwater contamination and working predominantly at sites that had petroleum contamination. In 1996, he started selling remediation technologies and services overseas. Peter’s Geotech territory includes NJ, PA, NY, all of New England and Eastern Canada. As President of the Vermont Environmental Consortium, Peter conceived of the term “Green Valley” to describe the vision of a state economy based on, and widely renowned for, a thriving environmental enterprise sector. The term combines 'Green Mountains' and 'Silicon Valley' and is shorthand for a vision of Vermont as a place where environmental enterprises thrive, create a major engine of economic growth and develop a worldwide reputation for excellence; in the Green Valley, economic development and sound stewardship practices go hand in hand. Peter has also served on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Technology Council.

In 1973, Mell received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina. He earned an M.E. in Geotechnical Engineering in 1976 from the University of South Carolina and has pursued a Ph.D. in Water Resources. He has worked as a design engineer with Duke Power Co. and as a geotechnical engineer with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and Soil and Material Engineers, Inc. Mell taught Civil Engineering at the University of South Carolina for four years and for two years at West Virginia Institute of Technology. For the past eighteen years he has been working with the Land Quality Section within the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. He first served as the State Sedimentation Specialist and currently he is the Land Quality Section Chief overseeing the Sedimentation and Erosion Control, Mining and Dam Safety Programs. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina, and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

Christine has been providing outreach and education to municipal conservation commissions, consultants, the regulated public and anyone else seeking regulatory, procedural or technical information about the MA Wetlands Protection Act & supporting regulations, the Stormwater Management Policy and other Bureau of Resource Protection programs since July 2005. Her B.S. is in Biology (with a minor in Marine Studies, from Northeastern University in Boston, MA) but she gained most of her knowledge about wetlands as Conservation Agent for two municipalities from 2000-2004. Christine worked on the Central Artery/Tunnel Project in Boston from 1993-99 (“fascinating!!!”), collecting samples & monitoring for compliance with the first-of-its-kind Individual NPDES Construction Permit, eventually stepping into the role of NPDES Permit Coordinator. She joined the IECA in 1997 in search of ideas for reducing TSS, and achieved the designation of Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control in 2000. Christine is the MA Representative for the IECA Northeast Chapter and is approaching the end of her second year as Northeast Chapter President.

Matt works in the Stormwater Management Section providing both technical assistance and regulatory oversight to ensure proper design and construction of stormwater treatment and control practices. Rob Roseen is the Director and Co-PI for the Center for Stormwater Technology Evaluation Verification; his responsibilities include coordinating the development of the research facility for the Environmental Research Group at UNH. This involves permitting & contracting procedures, development of collaborative efforts with manufacturers, site design for stormwater treatment devices, selection of treatment technologies (Best Management Practices), evaluation of site hydrology, and sampling & monitoring design. Rob has broad experience in water resources including hydrology & hydraulics evaluations, restoration & enhancement alternatives, dam removal assessment, groundwater investigations, nutrient & TMDL studies and remote sensing & GIS applications. Research efforts include: characterization of groundwater discharge to Hampton Harbor, NH; development of GIS application extension for use in delineating ground-water discharge zones; and groundwater mapping. Rob has lectured on hydrologic monitoring techniques, sediment transport & sampling, velocity profiling, stream restoration, dam removal, river mechanics, open channel flow, fluid mechanics and environmental systems analysis.

Randy has been working as a soil and wetland scientist since 1986. He provides expertise in mitigation and stabilization design utilizing alternative methods such as biostabilization, providing erosion and sediment control design assistance to numerous commercial, residential and municipal projects. Randy conducts preliminary land evaluations, investigates wetland violations, conducts site specific soil surveys flags hydric soils, conducts assessments for septic designs, delineates wetlands and disturbed sites, designs erosion control plans, and performs construction monitoring. He is also recognized as an approved trainer in Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, providing training to various organizations on the need and benefits of proper erosion control, and has provided information to organizations on alternative stabilization and water quality techniques. Randy served six years as IECA northeast Chapter President and continues to serve as the New Hampshire Representative. He is a Certified Soil Scientist by the State of Maine.
