Lemon Sheets, aged 72, an engineer at the Mishawaka Farmers Dairy company plant for the last 12 years, died of heart disease at 11:25 p. m. Monday in his home, 945 Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka. He had been ill five months.

Mr. Sheets was born August 4, 1866, northwest of Nappanee, whence he moved to the vicinity of Mishawaka 40 years ago. He was a farmer for 28 years southeast of this city and then moved into the city. He was married June 21, 1910, in this city, to Miss Mary Monhaut, who survives.

Also surviving are six sons, Frank of Lakeville, Thomas of Osceola, Lester and Joseph of Mishawaka, and John and Paul southeast of Mishawaka; three daughters, Mrs. Percy Retter of Osceola, Mrs. Bertha Martin of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Samuel Lehman of Ligonier; a sister, Mrs. Ella Kercher of Goshen, and two half brothers, Lewis Parcell of Goshen and Frank Parcell of this place.

The funeral was at 10:00 this (Thursday) morning. Rev. George J. Lauer, pastor, conducted the services in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic church. Burial in St. Joseph’s cemetery. Mr. Sheets was a member of Gleaners of Mint arbor.
