LEGAL NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUEST FOR QUALIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING FIRMS

The City of Reading OH is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide brownfields services to the City.

The City desires to obtain professional engineering and consulting services associated with the award of $400,000 in U.S. EPA Brownfields assessment grants ($200,000 for Hazardous Substances Environmental Assessments and $200,000 for Petroleum Environmental Assessments). The selected firm will be expected to act as the Environmental Professional to satisfy all the Terms and Conditions for the Cooperative Agreement associated with the City’s U.S. EPA Grant. This grant provides funding to complete assessment, cleanup planning and public outreach activities to prepare eligible brownfields sites within the City for ultimate redevelopment. The firm must demonstrate extensive U.S. EPA Brownfields Assessment Experience under the EPA Brownfields Program.

Sealed Proposals will be received by the Safety-Service Director on or before September 5, 2016, no later than 4PM at which time they will be publicly opened and announced. To be considered, all interested parties must submit two (1) original and (3) copies of the required information and documents in one (1) sealed envelope, entitled “BROWNFIELD ASSESSMENT RFQ FOR QUALIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING FIRMS”. Late submittals and facsimile submissions will not be considered. The respondent shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of the response to the RFQ.

Communications regarding this RFQ may only be made to the City of Reading via written means to the Safety-Service Director, City of Reading, Administrative Office, 2nd Floor, Reading, OH 45215; or by email at . The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to terminate the process at any time, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any submittal, to award in whole or in part to one or more respondents or take any other such actions that may be deemed in the best interest of the City.
