Health & Safety

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.

Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of The Pony Club

SINGLE PHASE competition on a surface where the second part of the course will be timed and 5cm higher.

Distances set for ponies

8.30am Class 1 Jumps 40cm

Entrants can be assisted but not led, in the ring by an adult without penalty. Riders in this class can only enter classes 1 & 2.

9.30am Class 2 Jumps 50cm

Riders in class 2 may only enter class 1 or 3 as well.

10.30am Class 3 Jumps 60cm

11.30am Class 4 Jumps 70cm

Distances set for horses

1pm Class 5 Jumps 80cm

2pm Class 6 Jumps 90cm

To include Denjie Winter League First Round qualifier

3pm Class 7 Jumps 1m

4pm Class 8 Jumps 1.10m

If sufficient entries a second ring will run if at all possible

INFORMATION

Ø  Teams will jump as a team followed by individuals.

Ø  There is no pony/horse height or rider age limit in any class

Ø  Teams of 3 or 4 competitors, best 3 scores to count.

Ø  Individual entries can either be formed into a combined team by the organiser or left individual.

Ø  Individual HC and non-PC entries taken on the day if time allows.

Ø  If less than 3 teams in a class, the class will run as an individual competition only.

Ø  Team and individual rosettes to 6th place in each class. Trophy Shield to winning team (2013 winners please notify the organiser when/how the trophies will be returned undamaged). Prize for winning individual

Ø  Entries (to the organiser) close on June 30th Late entries at the organiser’s discretion.

Ø  Entry fee £10 per individual per class. Non PC members can enter the Denjie class.

Ø  Cheques payable to STPC

Ø  Team managers to declare teams on the day to the Secretary in the Café before the class starts

Ø  Timings are approximate but we aim to finish by 5pm

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.  The event will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2014. Additional Denjie rules apply to class 6 (www.pcuk.org for PC rules and Denjie regulations)

2.  Ages of competitors as on 1st January 2014.

3.  Ponies/horses can enter a maximum of 3 classes.

4.  No outside assistance e.g. calling out instructions, except in class 1

5.  No entry accepted without fee. Entry fees will only be refunded for withdrawals made before the closing date. On the day entries are not refundable.

6.  The organisers reserve the right to cancel or combine classes according to entries. If less than 3 teams in a class, the class will run as an individual competition only

7.  Dogs on leads at all times and to be cleaned up after

8.  Each team to provide an efficient arena party to poo pick and pole pick for their members.

9.  Hats must be PC tagged.

10.  Note rider conditions for classes 1 and 2

11.  Park considerately and very tightly.

12.  Take great care with young/inexperienced children and ponies/horses.
