Facility:Two-Eight lane twenty-five (25) yard competition pools with non-turbulent

Lane lines with warm-up and warm-down lanes.

Rules:National Federation of State High School Association Swimming and Diving rules will apply.

Meet Style: All-Timed FinalsAll-Timed Finals: 9:30 A.M, 5A and 6A will be seeded and swim together; Two pools will be utilized. Boys will swim on the South End. Girls will swim on the North End. However, course layout and logistics may be changed by Meet Management if necessary/ appropriate.

Diving event (Single Round Event) for Boys and Girls (Six Dives; one dive from each of the 5 required groups & one optional dive)

Divers Warm-up: 8:15 A.M.

Entry Restrictions:All competitors must meet UIL restrictions/rules of competition engagement

Meet Start Time:Morning Warm-up; 8:15 A.M. All-TimedFinals: 9:30 A.M.

Divers: Warm-up: 8:15 A.M. in the Diving Well area.

Spectators:There will be no gate fee for spectators. Meet programs will be available for purchase

on the second floor lobby. Programs will be handled by University of Texas personnel.

Qualifying Times:No qualifying times will be required for this meet.

Relay Cards:All finalized relay cards must be accurately filled out and returned to the clerk of the course

30 minutes prior to the start of the relay.

Team Entry Rules:Four entries per event except for relays; One relay per school per event may be entered.

Athletes may enter a maximum of four (4) events of which no more than two events may be individual events. (NO JV ENTRIES, NO EXHIBITION SWIMMERS, NO UNATTACHED ENTRIES) NOTE: Due to time constrains, only Four entries will be allowed in the 50 Free.

Coaches Meeting:Coaches/captains meeting: 9:15 A.M. (Class Room)

Entry Deadlines:Friday, October 13th, 2017; 5:00 P.M. NO CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER DEADLINE.

Entry Procedures:Coaches, Email a hard copy to Meet Director (Ines Perez) and your Hy-Tek File to Steve Pangburn. Reports listing entries by swimmer and entries by event MUST be sent in with your Hy-Tek Entry File. Please indicate Division 5A/6A when entering athletes.

USA SWIMMING OBSERVATION

This Meet has been approved for USA Swimming Observation. If you have swimmers who would like their meet

Results loaded onto the SWIMS Database, you MUST INCLUDE their USA Swimming ID number and their full

Legal name in the Meet entry file.

Late Deck Entries:None will be accepted

Entry Fees:$15 per athlete and $12 per relay. Teams can mail entry fee prior to the Meet or pay

entry fee at the Meet.

Scoring:Only four (4) swimmers from each team in any given event may contribute points

toward their team scoring in that event,

  • Scoring will be through eight (8) places
  1. Individual Events:9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
  2. Relays:18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2

Awards:Team awards will be distributed for first and second place only. Individual awards will be

in large clasp envelopes for First through third (3rd) place. Coaches can pick up envelopes

at the end of the Meet.

Officials:High School and USA swimming officials planning on helping with this Meet need to contact

the Meet Referee, Ron Zolno. () Uniform will be White Polo over

Khaki pants, skirts, or shorts.

Concessions:Concessions: Available on second floor lobby in the Swim Center.

Hospitality Room:A hospitality room will be available for Officials, Coaches, and Meet Personnel.

Order of Events:Standard High School Protocol as detailed in UIL Rules. All events will be a Timed Finals Format.

There will be a 15 minute break after the 50 Free.

TEXAS SWIM CENTER REGULATIONS/RULES

  • COACHES MUST SUPERVISE OWN STUDENTS/ATHLETES
  • As guest of the University of Texas, everyone MUST adhere to TSC Rules
  • Anyone caught stealing will be disqualified from the Meet and removed from the TSC
  • Chewing gum and glass containers are not permitted in the building.
  • Locks may NOT be used on lockers
  • Wet swimmers and those NOT wearing shoes cannot leave the pool deck area
  • Spectators and athletes may not bring food or drink into the TSC from outside sources
  • Two (2) team coolers are permitted on deck (Clean your area prior to leaving)
  • No spectators are permitted on swim deck (Officials, Coaches, and Meet Personnel Only)
  • Shaving of any kind is strictly prohibited anywhere in the TSC facility

CELL PHONE

RESTRICTIONS:Cell phones and/or any other equipment capable of producing photographic or video images are

strictly and specifically prohibited in the locker rooms at all times. There are no exceptions to this Rule.

Anyone violating this rule will be disqualified from the Meet and disbarment from the facility.
