Leave Chard on the A358 Towards Axminster.
Turn left at the B3162 towards Forton. Follow the road to the junction, turn left (B3167) and 1st right (B3162) heading towards Winsham & Bridport.
Continue on this road going through Winsham.
At the end of the road go straight over for the the village of Drimpton.
(The B3162 Becomes the B3164 after 9.2 miles then it becomes the B3162 again) Continue along this road until you meet the village of Broadwindsor.
Continue through the one way system. At the Junction turn left heading for Beaminster. Continue along this road (B3163) you will come to a roundabout, turn right to the town at Beaminster. Park up.
Take photographs of the Church and one other photograph of your own.
Return to your car and follow the A3066 Heading for Bridport.
Before you enter Bridport you will see a sign on your left for Mangerton Watermill, turn left into Townsend Way.
Continue along this road until you see the sign for Mangerton Watermill on your left. Take the turning on your right side to the watermill. Park-up.
(Road surface not very good)
Photo the Watermill and a photograph of you own choice. There is a refreshment shop here.
Return to you car and return back the same way you came.
At the main road Turn left heading for Bridport. (A3066) Go over the first roundabout and continue straight ahead.
At the second roundabout turn right heading for Bridport. Park up in Bridport and take a photo of the Clock Tower.
Return to your car and follow the road out of Bridport carry on straight ahead at small roundabout and continue on this road heading for Chideock.
At the end of the road there is a staggered junction at the A35, turn right at the A35 heading for Chideock.
As you drive through the village of Chideock you will see a church on your right, just before the church turn left for Seatown.
Follow the road to the end and hopefully you will be able to park in the Anchor Inn Car Park – another refreshment stop – take a photo of the coastline on your right.
Return to your car heading back the same way that you came in. At the end of the junction, turn left (A35) now heading for Charmouth.
Bear left off the A35 for Charmouth and park up in Charmouth village.
Take a street scene to include a thatch cottage.
Return to your car and follow the road (A35) to the junction at the roundabout.
Turn left for Lyme Regis (A3052).
Continue on the A3052 to the second bend, turn left into Timber Hill (Lyme Regis Golf Club is on your left).
Continue down the hill until you see a turning (>) on your left, as you approach the bend on your right hand side then turn left and park up. This is “The Spittles” National Trust.
Take a short walk to a bench which leads to a view of Lyme Regis and The Cobb. Take a photo of the view.
Make your way back to your car and continue down the hill and turn left and follow the road to Lyme Regis. Park Up.
Make your way along the promenade passing the National Trust, Watersport shops and Ocean View Hotel. Just past the Ocean View Hotel you will see a row of Pink Thatched Cottages with Bay windows and Blue doors.
Take a Photo of these cottages and one other photograph of your own choice.
Return to your car and return home.
