CONDITIONS and TERMS for the Use of the Facilities

The “Client” undertakes to avoid any form of of excessive noise or extravagant behaviour likely to offend the occupants of houses in the immediate vicinity of the Church.
The Owner reserves the right to summarily terminate the function should the above requirements (or any of the other conditions of the agreement) not be adhered to.
- Alcohol
2.1 No alcohol may be sold on the premises
2.2 Alcohol must be consumed responsibly.
- Security
The Client is obliged to solely use the services of the security firm appointed by the Owner, which cost will be for the account of the client. Full particulars may be obtained from the Church office.
- Maximum number of guests allowed: 180

- Facilities not booked are out of bounds.
- Tidiness
- The Client undertakes to restore the facilities and premises to their original clean and tidy condition.
- Failure to comply with this condition will lead to forfeiture of theR 1 000 deposit paid by the client.
- The venue should be left without BREAKAGES.
CANCELLATION
The full hiring fee is due on booking the facilities.
On cancellation of the booking, the following will apply:
- on a written cancellation received at least 30 days prior to the function date, 90% of the fee will be refunded;
- on a written cancellation received fewer than 30 days but more than 14 days prior to the function date, 50% of the fee will be refunded;
- no fees will be refunded on cancellation notices received fewer than 14 days before the function date.
PAYMENT
The full hiring fee is payable before the booking of the venue can be confirmed. Petro Meintjes, the financial officer of the church, can be contacted on (011) 769-1704 ( 08:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday) for more information.

INDEMNITY
- The Owner, N G Kerk Culembeeck and its employees do not accept any responsibility for any loss which the Client, his/her employees and guests may suffer while on the premises of the Client, irrespective of the nature or cause of such loss whatsoever.
- The Owner accepts no responsibilityfor any loss, damage or discomfort that the Client may suffer as a result of, but not limited to, electricity or municipal water interruptions, force majeure, natural disasters, war or war related operations, armed aggression, strikes, theft, fire, explosions, accidents, mistakes of authorities, epidemics, limitations and labour problems.
- The Owner reserves the right to switch the function between the facilities, should it become unavoidable to do so.
- All damages caused by the Client, his employees and guests to the venue, furniture, cutlery and dinner-ware will be for the account of the Client.
ARBITRATION
Should a dispute/difference arise in respect of the interpretation of the terms and conditions and any stipulations in this agreement, the Owner has the power to resolve these in Johannesburg in accordance with the Alternative Resolution Process and the rules and regulations of the Arbitration Act 1965. as amended, or any actions which supersede these. Notwithstanding the above, nothing will prevent the Owner from taking recourse to the courts in such an event.
