10:30-12:30 / Achieving Strategic Clarity: Intended Impact / ~25 min into module: team exercise (50 min)
- Read pre-written II statements (5 min)
- Draft a “starter statement” (40 min)
- Identify next steps (5 min)
12:30-12:50 / Lunch / Quickly grab lunch and return to tables for project discussion
12:50-2:30 / Project Planning / - 30 mins presentation (project scoping, hypothesis trees)
- 60 min team working time
2:30-3:20 / Building a High Performance Organization, Part 1 / - No exercise
3:20-3:30 / Break
2:30-4:15 pm / Building a High Performance Organization, Part 2 / After 10 min, individual reflection:
- Review org diagnostic results
After 20 min, team discussion:
- What are the headlines from your data?
- What are 2-3 of the areas where it is most important to take action in order to align the org for greater impact?
- For these areas, what do you think is driving or contributing to the relative challenge?
4:15-4:30 / Wrap up / - Learning Journal reflection: What is one issue facing your organization that you are thinking about differently as a result of today’s conversation?

8:00-9:30 / CEO Session: Executive Teams / - Provide overview of ET POV and prep CEOs to lead team discussions later in the afternoon
9:00-9:30 / All participants arrive / - Breakfast
9:30-9:40 / Welcome / - Reflections from previous day
- Agenda for today
9:40-11:55 / Achieving Strategic Clarity: Theory of Change, Part 1 / After 1 hour, team exercise (75 min)
- For orgs without a TOC, develop a draft building off of your II statement from yesterday
- For orgs with a TOC, review against pitfalls and discuss ways you have or could have used your TOC to help make decisions/guide strategy
11:55-12:05 / Break
12:05-12:30 / Achieving Strategic Clarity: Theory of Change, Part 2 / After 0 min, team pair share (20 min):
- Share your draft TOC and get questions/feedback from the other team
12:30-1:45 / Lunch / Organization Introductions / 20 min to grab lunch
Each team develops (15 min) a “Team Timeline”:
- Org’s overall mission / vision / key activities
- 2 key events in your organization’s history that will help us better understand who you are today
- 1 significant opportunity on the horizon to accelerate your impact
Each team takes 3-5 minutes to share their “Team Timeline”, incl. mission/vision/key activities (40 min)

- Take diagnostic individually and review as a team
3:00-3:15 / Break
3:15-4:15 / Executive Teams Roles and Responsibilities, Part 2 / After X min, team exercise (45 min)
- Discuss and refine team purpose
4:00-4:15 / Wrap up / - Next steps: review org diagnostic with CEOs, make progress scoping and workplanning
- Highlight communications coming: website, LinkedIn Groups, newsletter signup
