Leading accounting firm opens a financial planning arm
SYDNEY, 8 August 2016:Bentleys NSW, a leading mid-tier accounting, taxation and audit firm, has today unveiled a new financial advisory division, Bentleys Wealth Advisors.
This new division is focussed on offering expert personal financial advice including superannuation and retirement planning advice, insurance, investment strategies and self-managed super funds.
Bentleys Wealth Advisors brings together a new team of financial advisors, further reinforcing Bentleys’ ability to deliver strategic and contemporary advisory services for its local and national clients.
Nigel Banks, Chairman, Bentleys NSW said: “In todays’ ever changing environment, it is critical that we continue to innovate and evolve to support the needs and aspirations of our clients. We needed to do something to remain viable in this space.

We saw the writing on the wall well in advance of changes to the accountants’ exemption. We realised we needed to stay ahead of the curve and to have an ability to provide whole of wealth advice, in the best interests of our clients.

The legislative changes mean that Bentleys accountants may not be able to give such detailed advice. However, they will be able to work with Bentleys Wealth Advisors, who are accredited financial advisors and put their clients’ needs at the forefront” Mr Banks said.
In addition to having direct access to Bentleys NSW and its provision of accounting, tax and audit services, clients through Bentleys Wealth Advisors will also be able to receive specific advice covering retirement planning, investment strategies, wealth protection and intergenerational wealth transfers including estate planning and aged care advice, superannuation tax advice, superannuation services, insurance and lending services.
