Leadership Minutes- 12/2
· Can we get push bars on the gym doors cleaned every day? Mrs. Allen will address with the custodians
· Sign In/Sign out sheets for staff are kept in Mrs. Allen’s office. If you need them for your time sheets please come get them.
· Will the front door be fixed to open automatically again? Probably not. Mrs. Allen will see if the delay can be increased.
· Is it suitable punishment to withhold a snack from a child for behavior reasons? Our handbook states that we cannot relate discipline to food. Will discuss further at the next staff meeting. Also checking to see if there is a Lee County Schools Policy.
· On November 16, a car rider student sat down on sidewalk. Staff on car duty said it was not their responsibility to get them to the classroom. The staff on car duty need to make sure they get the student to the classroom, cafeteria, etc if needed. Will be addressed at the next staff meeting.
· We will be revising our Vision Statement for the handbook next year.
· Budget requests are due to Central Office by January 3rd. Suggestions so far- Fix PA system for gym, fix holes for volleyball net in the gym, flooring replaced in cafeteria bathrooms, all railings around the courtyard need to be replaced
· Phones around campus not working- cafeteria, lounge,etc.-Have been put in to Tech Tracker numerous times. Miriam will check on it.
· We need a plan for when students hurt other kids in the classroom or classroom staff. Teachers and Teacher Assistants MUST tell Mrs. Allen if this is happening. If a child is hurting other people, their parents will be notified. Will be addressed at staff meeting.
· Staff Holiday Party- Smithfield will be catering. Desserts will be provided also.
