Heritage Glen Homeowners Association Meeting

I. Call to Order
The meeting of the Heritage Glen Homeowners Association was called to order at 7:16 p.m. on September 3rd by President Patricia Anderson. Board members present and introduced were Marcus Carlock, Lawrence Brown, Sharon Crawford, Eric Pickens, Bruce Crawford, Woody Knight Torreka Pounds, Eric Pickens and Mr. Horton/TCMG
President Patricia Anderson introduced the guest speaker Lt. Franklin, Cpl. C. Jackson from Prince Georges Police Department, and Charlie Brown from District 2 Committee.
Items of discussion: K-9 Unit will be putting on presentation at Community Day.
Concerns about break-ins - new burglary team to review all reported break-ins.
Press Release of all crimes that are happening in area. Sign-in sheet passed around.
If seeing kids hanging around the neighbor doing school hours. Please call the police station. All kids should be in school.
Prince George’s County Police Department offers “Out of Town” area check. As homeowners we can call the station and they will check on your house during shift. The number to call is 301-390-2101.
The security in the neighbor varies from day to day. The HOA is paying for security three days a week.
Cpl. C. Jackson will address the Neighbor Watch Program at our next meeting. We need everyone in the community to work together.
Home Security Survey is conducted by Prince George’s County Police Department to provide suggestion on changes to make our homes secure.

Update on Ongoing Initiatives:
Front Entry Sprinkler System – Done
Landscape Light – Done
Security Patrols – Three days a week. Time and dates vary throughout the week.
Home Break-ins - Suggestion was made to keep front lights on and use light sensor. Lights can be purchased at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Good idea to have lights on inside house when out of town.
Collection Efforts – The community is dealing with more than 50% of homeowners delinquent in dues. In order for us to make improvement to our community we need payments on time. The board was able to accomplish the following: upgrade of the front entry, and security.
Street Captains- Sign-up sheets passed around from street captains. Additional discussion will be held at our next meeting.
Noise Audience – 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

o Issues concerning payment of HOA dues please contact Mr. Horton.
o Need to contact the county for all sidewalk issues.
o Reminder to the community that home value is for us; homeowners need to play a huge part in keeping the neighbor up.
o Park Permits – Unable to provide parking permits for the residence of the community. The streets belong to the county.
o Delinquent Assessment – HOA dues $50 a month. Still have a lot of delinquent assessments.
