School-assessed Task Scores

All students must have a score entered by the due date. If a student’s score is not available, the school must enter all other task scores for that unit and send the 2017 Critical Dates Extension of Time to Enter Enrolments or Resultsform available from the downloads section of VASS to Student Records and Results, endorsed by the principal, informing the VCAA of the student’s details, the reason why this score is unavailable and advise when the score will be forwarded to the VCAA on a School Score Amendment Sheet.

1. Result Input and Summary Report for School-assessed Tasks

The RESULTS ADMIN VCE Reports School Scores by Class report can be used as:

  • an Input sheet for teachers prior to the entry of the task scores
  • a Summary sheet for teachers after entry of the task scores
  • a ‘Missing Results’ report.

The report can be produced in either Unit code or Teacher Name order.

It is most important that correct School-assessed Tasks scores are entered, as these scores cannot be changed in VASS by schools after Monday 16 October 2017.

2. Entry of School-assessed Task Scores

School-assessed Task scores are entered in VASS using: RESULTS ADMIN > VCE Results Entry.

A score between zero and the maximum, or NA (Not Assessed) must be entered.

  • A zero score should only be given where the work was submitted but did not score against the assessment criteria.
  • NA should only be given where the work was not submitted for assessment or where students have left school or withdrawn from the subject after the official closing dates.
3. School-assessed NAs and Zeros Report

A report to identify students with NA or zero scores may be produced using the menu RESULTS ADMIN > VCE Reports > School Scores > NAs and Zeros. This report can be used to check that all zeros and NAs are the correct results being entered.

4. Missing School-assessed Task Scores

To ensure that all the required scores have been entered, the School Scores > by Class report should be run and actioned prior to Monday 16 October with the ‘Display Missing Results Only?’ parameter changed to [YES].If there are no missing scores, the message ‘No results matched the parameters you entered. Please try again’ will be displayed.

5. Late Amendments for School-assessed Task Scores

The Score Amendment Sheet (RESULTS ADMIN > VCE Reports > School Scores − Amendment Sheet) must be used to request a change for any results entered after Monday 10 October 2016; this includes blanks. Advice on this matter should be referred to the Student Records and Results Unit by email: .

Schools are advised that requests for score changes are subject to strict audit procedures and evidence for a change of score may need to be submitted to the Student Records and Results Unit.

Extended Investigation: Externally-assessed Task (EAT) for the Written Report
(Unit 4)

  • an Input sheet for teachers prior to the entry of the task scores
  • a Summary sheet for teachers after entry of the task scores
  • a ‘Missing Results’ report.

The report can be produced in either Unit code or Teacher Name order.

It is most important that correct Externally-assessed Task scores are entered, as these scores cannot be changed in VASS by schools after Monday 16 October 2017.
