As you approach the final strides of residency and head into the workforce we would like to inform you of a unique, limited time opportunity in Elgin County.. Recently the MOHLTC has designated ST. Thomas, Dutton Dunwich and Central Elgin as a “High Physician Needs Area” This will allow them to start a new FHO. With income stabilization.
The physician lead Dr. Tenbergen will be submitting the application for the new FHO to the Ministry in May and has space left for 3 more new grads or existing family physicians to sign the FHO agreement and begin to practice in St Thomas. The local business owners and allied health colleagues have recognized the need for additional primary care in Elgin County and have invested in building a new 20,000 sq. ft medical building with 6,000 sq ft dedicated to the new FHO. This building will be completed by Sept 1st. 2016.
A Pharmacy, Laboratory and other allied health care providers have committed to this new space and construction is progressing well.
