Avenues of Service

Centennial Hall, Hayward

Thursday, October 21, 2004

16:30 - 21:00

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - THIS WILL BE A SOLD OUT EVENT

The Avenues of Service is a mid-year event which is held for all Club Officers, Directors, Committee Chairs and Rotarians. The purpose is to inform all District 5170 Rotarians about the four Rotary Avenues of Service: Club, Community, International and Vocational Service. We also cover Youth Services, Membership, and the R.I. Foundation.

5:00 P.M. for Club Presidents with District Governor, Ron Sekkel, and Presidents – Elect with District Governor Elect, Arlene Greenberg.

We will start the evening with fellowship and registration at 4:30 P. M. The regular sessions will begin at 6:00 P. M. These workshops will help to reflect on the past few months and look at what needs to be done to accomplish our goals for the balance of the year. These sessions are always very valuable to new Rotarians.

We will, again, have an international flair. We are hosting “The Partners in Rotary Service” inbound group. They will be a part of our program. We will also meet the Russian Delegation.

Our keynote speaker this year is Cliff Dochterman, Past Rotary International President. Those who have heard him know that a wonderful treat this will be.

The Club Presidents, or designee, will be responsible for the registration of their members. Registration is requested to be Pre-Paid, as this will be a sold out event. Make sure your club’s registration form, and payment is mailed or, if paying by credit card, faxed to the District Registration Chair, Vicki Rombs. Clubs are responsible for collecting the registration fee of $35.00 for each person that will attend. Please submit your forms prior to Monday, October 11, 2004.

If registration is received after Oct. 11, 2004, the fee will be $40 for each registrant.

SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND THE POSSIBLE DISAPPOINTMENTOF YOUR MEMBERS IF THEY CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS WONDERFUL EVENT.
WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THIS REGISTRATION REQUEST
