Language, Learning and Literacy (L3) Trainer 2017

The L3 Implementation Group, Macquarie Park, is seeking L3 Trainers to support and oversee the delivery of L3 across our area in 2017. These positions will be temporary appointments, part-time, at Assistant Principal level.

Successful applicants will be employed for two days per week (Thursday/Friday).

Successful applicants will be based at a host school, and will work across a range of schools to support the implementation of L3.

Position information / The L3 Trainer role will include:
  • the delivery of L3 training to a minimum of one NEW and one OPL training group in accordance with L3 guidelines
  • the collection and collation of data from participating schools
  • conducting regular meetings with principals and school executives on the progress of student and teacher learning
  • applicants must be teaching on class three days per week on the grade/stage in which they are delivering training.

Selection criteria /
  1. Effective and accredited L3 Kindergarten teacher, with a minimum of 2 years experience delivering exceptional L3 pedagogy in the classroom.
  2. Ability to work within and across school teams to successfully implement L3 in schools.
  3. Knowledge of and ability to use quality assessment data to inform whole-school and classroom programs.
  4. Proven high-level communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with key stakeholders to effect change.

Conditions / This is a temporary appointment.
Part-time positions are for the week commencing 30/1/17to the week commencing 11/12/17.
The appointment is subject to satisfactory performance.
School hours and conditions apply.
