RE: Rapid Rehousing Ohio Program

We, AGENCY NAME, have been partnering with The Salvation Army in Central Ohio in order to provide housing assistance to families in housing transition in COUNTY County. Through Rapid Rehousing Ohio, AGENCY NAME is capable of providing case management services to the participant and The Salvation Army in Central Ohio is able to assist in financing rent. AGENCY NAME would like to partner with you as a viable landlord/property manager when looking to place these participants in permanent housing.

The purpose of Rapid Rehousing Ohio is to provide assistance to rapidly re-house families in housing transition. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has allotted financial resources that target households that are most in need of temporary assistance and are most likely to achieve stable housing. The Salvation Army in Central Ohio combined with the full support of HUD, partner agencies like AGENCY NAME, and the community, will serve families with barriers to maintaining independent and stable housing. By choosing to be an active partner by providing housing opportunities to families that we serve, you too are helping break down difficult barriers to housing stability.

It is important to note that Rapid Rehousing Ohio (RRHO) is not a mortgage assistance program. RRHO funds are only eligible to help program participants pay for rent and security deposits. Utility expenses, moving costs, storage fees, mortgage costs, legal, or other fees do not meet program eligibility criteria. Rental assistance availability determination is based on participant need, eligibility, available financial resources, and program participation status.

In order to be successful in RRHO, we are required to ask for some pertinent information from you. We ask that lease includes the following: (a) a duration of 12 months; (b) lists the tenant’s name; (c) lists the unit address; (d) includes mail payment instructions; and (e) lists the deposit, prorate (if required), and monthly rental amounts. We also ask that you submit a W-9 for tax purposes. Your information is safeguarded in a locked file. We abide by high confidentiality and security purposes to maintain your privacy.
