Projects and Support the Lander Rotary Club Provides to the Community and World

Service Projects of the Lander Rotary Club:

· Breakfast service for the Cycle Greater Yellowstone event. August 2014.

· Reading to Lander Elementary School Students. September thru June yearly.

· Purchase and distribution of dictionaries to all third grade students in Fremont County. A joint effort with the Riverton Rotary Club October and November yearly.

· Habitat for Humanity Build Day. A shared effort with the Riverton Rotary Club during the Fall 2014.

· Guns, Boots and Brands community event clean-up crew. November 2014

· Salvation Army kettle bell ringers. December yearly.

· Sponsorship of Lander’s Shamrock Shindig community event. March yearly.

· Mission of Mercy –Honduras. A two week medical and dental clinic for the indigenous people of Honduras. March yearly.

· Performance of the Cat in the Hat of Dr. Seuss fame for Lander Grade School children. March yearly.

· Copper Canyon Mexico Project. A one week project with the Lander Interact Club to provide maintenance and improvements to a school for indigenous people of Copper Canyon, Mexico. Spring break.

· Sponsorship of the Lander Fourth of July Buffalo Barbecue. July yearly.

· Sponsorship of the Rotary Young Leadership Awards and Young Rotary Leadership Awards. August yearly.

· Sponsorship of the Lander Rotary Interact Club. Yearly.

· Sponsorship of a Friendship Exchange program with other International Rotary Clubs. As available.

Some of the Projects that the Lander Rotary Club Supports Financially:

· The Community Foundation of Lander.

· The High School Student Exchange Program.

· A Lander High School or Central Wyoming College scholarship.

· Canyon Scholars Program. A high school scholarship program for Indigenous People of Copper Canyon Mexico.

· The Lander Community and Convention Center re-construction.

· The Lander Schools History Clubs.

· The Lander High School Future Business Leaders of America.

· The Lander Masters Special Olympics.

· The City of Lander Fire Fighters.

· The Wyoming State Winter Fair.

Past Projects that Lander Rotary Club has been involved with in the past:

· Construction of The Lander Care and Share Food Bank.

· Youth Leadership; Club programs for Lander Middle and High School students.

· First Grade Wyoming Reads program.

· As a member club of Rotary International, the Lander Rotary Club is proud to be a part of the worldwide program to eradicate Polio in the World.

· Changing Attitudes Now a program of the Lander School System

· Relay for Life-Lander

· Relocation and Restoration of the Hornecker Cabin at the Museum of the American West in Lander.
