Review Open Actions
- Planning for 4WD Spectacular (Russell Speldewinde)
- Demonstrations Saturday
- Ranger Nick: 3 shows per day
- Kevin Phillips: weights 2 shows
- Kids talkback
- Demonstrations Sunday
- As per Saturday, plus
- Alan Whiting on diesel/electric 4WDs
- Other possible demonstrations (in prep.)
- One hour total needed, including presenters and a range of representative vehicles – e.g. Rav4, HiLux, Subaru and “real”: 4WDs
- Vehicle setup and wheel travel
- Tyre repair (Jan Lockley and Ian Toten have volunteered.)
- Organisation and setup
- Keys to site obtained 8 Jan
- Spectacular Committee meets 10 January; weekly meetings thereafter until event
- Rosters incomplete – Mary Bergstrom to summarise gaps and send to members.
- Maximum 20 signs per club.
- Shirts (Kevin Phillips)
- 67 orders to date
- Add some more (in several M & F sizes) for possible extra volunteers.
- A few more added “live”.
- Place order tomorrow, so they will be ready for the show.
- LRC Tent at the Spectacular (Russell Speldewinde and Gemma Zeitlhofer)
- Sides of tent previously green; standard only needed, this time.
- Posters and banners in process
- Big banners replaced by 2m PVC ones on 4 themes ($125 each)
- Row of conference boards ($37 each @ Officeworks) with 7 trip reports from 2017 – example looked really good.
- Hay bales from show
- 2 series vehicles on display –Land Rover and Nissan Patrol.
- Equipment list for tent – Merle Hunt is organising tender.
- Russell to bring 2 burner BBQ for early starters on Sunday morning.
- Other items dealt with below, as appropriate.

- Paul Koppe’s member emails are sporadic

Trip Coordinator: (Ian Toten).
- 70th Anniversary event
- 10 LRC vehicles allocated out of 50 on the Happy Jacks Trip.
- Other restrictions, such as trip participants must be registered for the 70th anniversary event and Land Rover brand vehicles only.
- For insurance and other reasons, it needs to be an official LRC trip, using primarily the LRC website for registration, etc.
- Ian to liaise with Ray Atkins re the circa 20 people who have already expressed an interest.
- Ian to set up a process at next LRC ordinary meeting for a ballot, if interest is oversubscribed.
Treasurer’s Report: (John Reis)
- Treasurer’s report (attached).
- Need to update administrators and operators of the LRC bank accounts
- Andrew, Bob, John and Peter Mercer to meet up in early 2018 to solve problems
- Confirm continued use of PayPal, since it is expensive. Yes, continue; it reduces the complexity of transaction operations.
- Trailer-hire needs to be via the LRC Website.

- What to do with correspondence (hard copy and emails) and Treasurer’s reports? The committee agreed to:-
